Do different alcoholic drinks give different buzzes?

Is there a difference between say the intoxication of vodka compared to whiskey, or is alcohol alcohol either way?

Yeah i hear like beer gives you more of a mellow buzz and wine is more happy. i don't believe shit like that though. it's just like when you hear people say different pieces give different highs. i think it has to do with how fast the alc gets in your system. chugging like 4 shots of vodka is different than slowly drinking 4 beers.

It might have to do with how the particular alcohol is distilled. Vodka, whiskey and rum are all distilled with different fermented by-products, so that could make a slight difference. But yeah, Thug Love is right about how fast the alcohol gets into your system with hard liquor versus beer.

Malt liquor seems be pretty euphoric, depending on brand.

the only difference i notice is how with beer you are gently pulled into the stupor, so you actions don't change as quickly, unlike doing shots where you can be pretty damn drunk in less than 10 minutes.

Exactly, I think a lot of drinks have more than just ethanol which can account for different psychoactive effects when mixed with ethanol. Beer and wine definitely have other psychoactives in them.

liquor is a deep introspective type of drunk
