Do cops actually plant drugs on people?

my boyfriends friend Dan told me this story that happened 2 years ago. Dan and his (now ex) girlfriend Vicky were going to the methadone clinic, and afterwards Vicky went to go buy xanax from a guy outside. now cops and even the DEA watch that methadone clinic, and shortly after Vicky got the bars, her and Dan hear "freeze!" it's the DEA. Vicky swallows all the xanax (she has been known to swallow handfuls of xanax so its not that big of a deal for her). the DEA get to her and start searching her. they realize that she got rid of the pills and are pissed. a few minutes later the guy searching her purse says that he found something. he holds out an empty pack of gum with one shitty looking, old ass xanax bar that looked like it went through a washing machine 10 years ago.
now Vicky never chews gum because she has a jaw problem, and she said she never saw that gum pack in her life (neither did Dan and he says he's never seen her chew gum either). and Vicky, who loves xanax and will literally do 10 pills at a time, would not save just one pill, especially not some shitty looking one that looked too nasty to eat. She swears it was planted and so does Dan.

even sadder is that at first the DEA guys told Dan to go away, but then he stupidly went back to figure out what was going on. all the sudden they started searching him, and they found literally a SPECK of bud in his pocket. he got charged with 0.01 grams of weed. I kid you not, those zeroes are right. and because of strict weed laws here in florida, he was on probation for a while for that speck.

well it was a fed ci but still....i know ppl that would buy guns from cops , cops r just ppl too,

thers also a rule that its up to cop descression but they can if they want take u n for a seed or stem, i dont trust cops but i dont atomaticly hate em either, they r ppl too , some good ppl out there but also some shitty ones

This isnt exactly about officers planting evidence, but about them lying....

One time at a protest the police surrounded us on TWO sides...the state park troopers on the other TWO sides. The BOTH ordered us to disperse but would NOT ALLOW US TO LEAVE, even as they were giving the order....peaceful legal permitted protest....being broken up because some other march down the road had an unruly protester who spray painted a political slogan on a temporary wall that was coming down in a few days anyway.....had nothing to do with us....

Anyways, they charged us with "failure to obey" and "Failure to disperse". They claimed that they were not preventing us from leaving because they only blocked us on two sides....together they blocked us on all 4 and would not allow us to escape....next they started beating people with clubs, including old women and small children, used plastic handcuffs so tight that peoples hands turned blue, threw us onto busses for as long as 14 hours with no food or water or bathroom access, then booked us downtown and gave us FBI files after a harsh interrogation....We did nothing wrong besides holding signs in a park and played some drums. Nobody did anything illegal. Nobody was antagonizing the police.

Same shit just went down at the G20 in Toronto last month. The Toronto Police Department is under alot of fire and facing a number of lawsuits because of their actions.
 
I have never heard of... or seen personally a cop plant drugs, nor have I been in any situation around it.

However... when I was about to turn 21 I witnessed Milwaukee, Wisconsin narcotics street force cops enter TWO different apartments without a warrant. They got the landlord to go up to the door and get them to open it... once it was open a crack the plain clothes officers would appear from the sides of the door where they were hiding and then forced their way in. Drugs and cash we're seized both times, arrests were made both times, and they were released both times, only to have warrants issued 5-7 months later for the same crime. Thats just as fucked up as planting drugs... that shit was nuts.
 
These anecdotal reports and opinions are fine and all but I wonder why someone has not posted documented court proceedings of these sort of things.
I have had numerous run in's with the law and have had my share of bad and decent treatment by them.

In my teeny town one of the dumbest patrol cops ever to draw breath was caught on his own car's camera boosting power tools from some mutt's car that he had pulled over . He got his ass handed to him pretty severely.

I came up with a few guys that went into law enforcement and only one was a vicious, murdering psychopath of all of them.
 
i havn't heard of it much, But some cops are really stupid. I once had cops accusing me of trafficking ecstasy, they mistook my prescription dexamphetamine with my name on the bottle as e's.... So stupid they were.
but they confiscated my medication and claimed that they lost it.

i was let off, no charges made!

Why would there be any kind of court proceedings? the cops dont get in trouble for that shit. they never do, they dont go to court you cant win against them. When they steal shit from the evidence room, etc then they end up gettin found out but dont nobody care when they just harassin some junkies. take somebodys dope, dont charge em and tell em to get outta here....then use that to plant on people, etc....In the situation that i was in , there wouldnt be a record becuz the officer basically was tryin to plant somethin on me but decided not to after his partner said somethin to him. i had got stopped in Paterson in a "drug area" which is just one of the main roads in the city but it was 11 or so at night so they wanted to bust us but we hadnt been coppin and wasnt shit in the car. so they got mad, threatnin bustin heads, etc...then i heard "hey is that a bag of weed there under her car?" and was about to get into some shit about how i musta threw it out the window, etc. 8( Of course i never had no weed....they ended up sendin me on my way but i will never forget that becuz i KNOW thats wat he said, i heard it loud and clear and those cops is so shady everybody knows that the sheriffs tnt squad is fucked up.


Anyways tho, like i said earlier i known tons of people who had shit planted on them always while coppin in newark or paterson the cops get mad cuz they dont find shit or the person talks back and they end up "finding" a few bundles of dope or in one case my one friend, rip, got hit with possession of like 137 bags becuz the cops got pissed that they didnt find shit so they hit him with SERIOUS possession just to fuck with him....They do it all the time here in jersey at least. you would never hear abotu it in court or nothing like that becuz nobody gets the cops in trouble, yuo cant fight your word agianst theirs, they do wat they want and the judges and the system is all in their pocket as long as they gettin junkies off the street. nobody cares to check if they really doin they job until coke and dope starts disapperin from the evidence room. fuck with junkies, the higher ups dont care. they only care when the cops start fuckin with THEM.
 
not a cop story but my dad did , he was like did you steal my hash, where the fuck is my hash
i was real young at the time and he was like whats this ? and went into my back pocket and grabbed his hash

i was dumbfounded and like uh uh i didnt put it there

then he laughed and told me it was an old cop trick
 
NYPD 45th Precinct planted a BB gun on my boys one night. They were waiting on a corner to cop some weed, a car rolls up and they thought it was the weed man. My one boy goes up to the window, dude gets out of the car with a pistol drawn yelling at my boys to get on the ground (it was 4/20 to, heh). Then the cops just happen to find a BB gun in the bushes next to them. They all got taken in for attempted car-jacking, but luckily one of my friends dad was a cop so they didn't hit them with it.

There was even a story in the paper a few days later saying "3 teens try car-jacking undercover officer" So yea shit def happens.
 
all 4 of my boys who cop from irvington have been arrested just for suspicion or drug seeking on seperate occasions ...like most of these stories one of them had some d planted on him...

i feel lucky as shit considering ive been to both paterson n newark and have yet 2 be stopped

pretty scary how common this is...specifically new jersey...i gotta stop fuckn around only 2 months till i gt my license back and off probation
 
aw man, SERIOUSLY....Fuckin god please yo--just STOP COPPIN....just for a little while til you get off probation and get ur shit back! paterson is so hot! its the worst thing you can do while tryin to maintain and stay outa trouble legaly. one thing to keep using, but to be out on the streets coppin is the number one way you end up gettin arrested again and gettin way more fucked than you woulda been if yuo had just chilled out a little and stayed off the block.

just pay your boys to cop for you, i know it sucks when you a junkie but payin a tax of like a bag or 2 to people who are already going anywas is worth it when you can avoid goin back to jail yo!! Seriously, i made the same mistake as you, i had a month to go til my conditional discharge which was only 6 mos to begin with, was over, and i got popped....and then got popped again 2 months after that....I regretted that shit so much...

you aint gotta stop using, just stop COPPIN! just make it for the next 2 months home safe yo, please take it from me its worth it i can tell you from experience how much you just want to shoot 40 bags in one shot and not wake up when you realize that you done fucked up bad as the narcs roll up on you and you just think god dammit, why didnt i just finish probation, why didint i just finish it, it was so close, why couldnt i just wait for one month, fuck, fuck fuck im so stupid....and so on....

seriously, makin life a little harder on yourself for a little while is much easier than the eventual feeligns you will have when you get hit with new charges like 3 weeks before you woulda been home free.
 
When cops plant drugs it will rarely be proven. More often then not it will just be thrown out due to being questionable evidence. In almost all cases it is the officers word against the defendants, unless they were dumb enough to do it on camera (Which has happened!).
