Do certain drugs expand the mind and create a sense of ultra awareness?

Do certain drugs expand the mind and create a sense of ultra awareness? I am un-biased for the purpose of this study so multiple opinions are encouraged!

imo the only way drugs expand the mind is by making the user think differently or from a different point of view negative or positive depending on if the experience or the high was positive or negative

I actually feel one of my post from a different thread would suit in this thread better, but here's my statement.

In my experience, different drugs, bring out a different part of your personality out.
Cannabis brings out the creative and imaginative side
Stimulants bring out the confident and motivated side
Empathogens bring out the empathetic side
Psychedelics bring out the philosophical and also the creative side
Dissociatives bring out the dark yet mysterious and introspective side
Opiates bring out the carefree and relaxed side
Benzodiazpines and Alcohol also bring out the relaxed yet wild side

This is only for moderate use, as far as addiction goes, it can bring on a whole new side. I'm not sure if this even relates to the topic at hand being that I'm sleep deprived, but I feel that certain drugs, bring out a certain perspective, rather than intelligence, which in turn will become a part of your wisdom.
