do anti-histamines have any positive effect on benzos/opiates?

do they intensify the feelings, or prolong it? namely, Dramamine

Neither. Antihistamines will cause sedation which will add to the nod. Antihistamines do nothing for benzodiazepines (as far as I know at least).
 
It depends, hydroxyzine is known to be one of the best anti-histimines and is very easily prescribed. That and plain and old benedryl can add to the effects of opiates in terms of nodding or making your head feeling heavier but not other than that.

A few hydroxyzines with some xanax DID add to the sedation and head high aspect of the benzos but that was a long time ago.

Also anti-histimines with opiates can help reduce the nausea by opiates and itchyness if you experience either.

or would it not be as effective since it isn't a first-class anti-histamine?
 
^Seconded that. One time I took 100mg hydroxyzine, 1.5mg of Xanax, and had a beer(maybe two, idk). Basically the hydroxyzine potentiated the alcohol and alcohol potentiated the Xanax of course, and I'm thinking the hydroxyzine must have had some sort of additive effect to the Xanax too... Because I might as well have taken 2 or 3 Xanax bars for as black out as I got. I woke up with a fridge full of alcohol and my pants still on, so I guess things could've gone worse for me :?
 
Lol, yeah that one time i mixed an "anti-histimine" (hydroxyzine) when i was already tipsy from 7 shots followed by 1mg of xanax and STILL wasn't as fucked up as i wanted to be, i just decided to take two hydroxyzine's (anti-hismines) and it did potentiate the xanax/alcohol to the point i was having a hard time of walking and had to lay my head down at the school library, and woke up to the cops forcing me to go in an ambulance to the hospital which resulted in going to a psych ward and a terrible time.

That was probably because mixing benzo's with alcohol isn't safe or good to do unless your dosages are in limit which mine were but the hydroxyzine just added to the extra sedation. Mixing anti-histamines to benzos alone will just increase sedation a little heavier head.
 
I personally used dipenhydramine while on opiates. I took it with strong coffee to nullify the sedative aspect and really enjoyed the buzzy feeling. It was quite unpredictable tho, sometimes it enhanced the opiate feeling sometimes it left me on edge and uncomfortable. However I took very high doses causing the most terrible "sleep aid hangovers" which was head destroying migraines, and I even blacked out at work once...while serving a customer.
