I was doing some research into why DMT is practically omnipresent in plantlife. Then I came across the structure of an indole auxin. Is there a metabolic pathway that turns that auxin into DMT?
That makes a hell of a lot more sense than some of the theories I've heard (evolving along with human use, like is proposed with opiates and d-9-thc), which I always had a hard to buying.
Does anyone know if this has been explored? I can't imagine it hasn't, but who knows?
