Tryptamines DMT VAPE

I knew a couple in California that were way into their drugs. The woman liked her opiates, tar and fetty. Her husband loved his drink, his benzos and his acid. They both liked e. They got way into DMT cart production and would consume them not only daily but chronically I believe eventually calling it seeing in HD. They both drove on it. There is no way that they didn’t experience some kind of tolerance to it. In fact, I believe they couldn’t break through because of how high their tolerances were.

I had heard urban legends that DMT junkies existed and they both were definetly not on the fringes of society or anything. She went to the methadone clinic. The guy sold used cars and owed money to everyone in town he was always dodging a debt. It was weird, I never would have thought DMT could be used in such a manner, almost like it was their cigarettes or weed.

I think that they both would rather have DMT carts than opiates benzos or alcohol too eventually as it became expensive going thru at least a gram a day per person too. I suppose DMT maintenance can work for some. Driving a car tho is where I would draw the line and would never feel comfortable being in a car with the driver hitting it.
this tolerance is to the psychedelic side of it,
DMT definitely has a more-ish dopamine hit side to it with heart rushes and head flushes and there is no particular tolerance on that.
Your California couple wrecked their psychedelic potential by tapping into the dopamine gateway that DMT can key into.

You hear that new song by tool? Young king fetty or some shit I don't know my ticket is already paid for. That DMT that shit is no different from fent idgaf fight me. I had a friend who I thought was trusted and for all purposes was put together he still felt more at peace after sticking his phone in a microwave after 4 or 5 tabs.I don't blame him.

I disagree slightly with your assessment. I mix perfumes for fun, and to me DMT smells like indolic scents (jasmine, orange blossom). There is a compound called nerolione, which is basically a benzofuran derivative of skatole (3-methylindole) with an ethyl ketone at the 2 position.

The aldehydes and nitriles I am familiar with smell “fresh” or “green” or “citrusy” or “metallic” or “soapy” to me rather than the rich, stink-adjacent smell of indolics.

I used to walk by a jasmine bush which would smell like DMT at the peak of its bloom. New shoes approaches the smell, but it’s also got some stink to it that makes you want to get another smell.
I appreciate your feedback here, maybe my nose just isn't as sharp towards this as it is towards other things. I've encountered many aldehydes that have a verdant, metallic, or soapy character, but also some that resemble (though not strongly) indolic compounds. I'm unsure as to what else is layered in orange blossoms, but I wonder if it relates to your experience with that jasmine bush. Perfumery is wicked fun.

Very interestingly, I did not notice any smell from my (synthetic) DMT. I will have to admit though that my nose isn't the best and maybe there was a faint smell I did not detect. I shared this finding with someone else who is very capable at DMT synthesis - and he agreed he could not smell his synthetic DMT either, but remarked that extracted DMT has a smell that lingers and stays around even with quite some effort put into purification. And yet again I read a post from an analytical chemist who has certainly synthesised DMT and analysed it to be high purity that claimed it smelled like Nike shoes. I can't piece it together.

Nike Dunks are actually the shoe I'd argue that DMT smells the most similar to. If I recrystallize until pure white, it's scentless, but the moment it begins to oxidize upon atmospheric exposure, that shoe smell comes back. I suspect that DMT-N-Oxide may be to blame, but I don't have access to a mass spec to be able to tell, and separating DMT from DMT-N-Oxide without either one deteriorating meaningfully is quite difficult, even in a flash chroma tube. I'm sure there are benchwork wizards out there who don't struggle with it, but man, I've had a rough time with that separation so far, maybe someone who can pull that off can analyze my hunch here if they ever get a chance.
