DMT melted?

hey everyone-

i had 250mg dmt sent to me in the mail, and the person who sent it to me told me it was originally crystalline which he crushed into a yellowish powder.

When i got it, however, it seems to have turned into an oil or resin of sorts. Could it be that my DMT melted in the mail while crossing hot areas or in my hot mailbox?

I tried to look this up, but i didn't find anything except one dude saying his DMT was oil. If it did indeed melt, will it have taken away a significant amount of potency?

what should i do?
 
dont wory, smoke it... dmt does that sometimes if theres still impurities. the guy who extracted it probably just didnt do the best of jobs. it was still yellow when he sent it after all.
 
Yes, I have seen this before. It was actually the only time I saw smokable DMT, but at the time it was not smokeable since it was a small ammount (like 2 doses) that melted onto a piece of paper (in effect, making DMT blotter ;)).
 
Well the melting point listed on erowid is 116 F which is easily reached inside a hot car or mailbox. Regardless or purity I think you still have to be careful about where you leave it. When packaging it I suggest placing it in something that even if melts it won't be difficult to scrape it off when it solidifies.
 
with melted DMT just throw it in the fridge (not freezer, you'll get precip from tat) and just let it crystalise again. You dont know hwo many goo balls Iv had the river only to come home and get those crystals back.

this is what i did, took about 3 hours but was completely recrystallized when i took it out.
 
just smoke it melted. its actually easier to work with when its melted, just smear some on some foil and take a hit or two.

The first time I consumed tryptamines, it came as a reddish oil on tin foil.

I brought this shit back to my college friends...none of them had ever heard of it. I put it on weed, everybody had the same reaction. "What's this stuff supposed to....WOW!"

For about a week, everybody in the dorm thought I was hot shit.

Strangely enough I have had my best success with smoking dmt when the crystal had melted into a waxy not too hard ball
 
dmt melted

yeah i left mine in my car for liek a few hours but i live in texas so that was dumb ahhah
it melted and turned to that resin loooking shit so i threw it in the freezer and it hardned btu started to melt again. but when i oppned the bad it satrted to harden more anyway til it was back to normal and still worked greeeeeatttttt%)
