months ago I got a hold of a decent amount of k at a fest. i did it a few times and really appreciated it although i had trouble explaining the experience to others and would usually forget the insight, i was ingesting it by snorting it. throughout the week I felt psychological urges to do the drug again. after a couple times more I still didn't understand its purpose but was left with only more curiosity. i couldn't help but consider that getting into an addictive psychedelic might be a path that would lead to very bad places for me. i had been kind of depressed lately, questioning my values and identity ect, feeling lost and trapped by a mixture of situations. I usually never snort drugs and it bothered me that i had urges to snort k.

So that night I thought I'd try the oral method. I mixed 200mg k with warm water, vitamin c and orange juice as Erowid prescribes for a medium oral dose. it hit me within 10 minutes. at 20 minutes I was heavily depersonalized. For the beginning of the trip I was having trouble moving and couldn't do much but think. about 45 minutes in something strange happened. The lights went out in my apartment unexpectedly and I was immersed in endless darkness. it was weird because just before the trip I had a conversation with a friend about the difference between nihilism and Buddhism and each of their concepts of emptiness or nothingness. i felt emptiness, but was it nothing or everything? the darkness was a message and i got out the DMT pipe. i put on a song on my headphones called Sunyata (empyness) by Robert Rich a minimal ambient artist. I meditated for a couple minutes then hit the pipe. as the smoke left my lungs I felt like I was miles under the ocean at night with a million glowing jellyfish. when I got into DMT space it was as if time stopped. This was amazing because DMT trips are usually so fast and baffling that it is difficult to focus your attention on anything. I was in a space past time, but i had a spirit and I could move around. It was like a really intense lucid dream. I moved through rooms and machines and strange landscapes. I saw endless other spirits some positive some negative some funny and some insane. I moved through the ocean of information to a center dome like place where I felt myself as a snake like being. I thought, how could I speak in the presence of god.

Then it gets kind of confusing, I was silent and gone but I was god. I don't really know how to describe the experience after this point, I expanded over seemingly endless space. Defiantly the most power I've ever felt before. After that I started coming down from the DMT and the song ended, so I switched it to Boards of Canada and hit the pipe again. I just surfed the flow of energy and information for another hour just taking small hits form the pipe. The two drugs potentate each other to a ridiculous degree, they dance together, Ketamine is nothing and DMT is everything. DMT taught me how to use Ketamine. Eating Ketamine is defiantly the more respectful rout and seems less risk of addiction in my opinion. Anyways i just needed to tell someone about what just happened to me! its an amazing gateway! :)

Yea I enjoyed reading this. I look forward to trying this combo myself once I've gained a little more experience with both of these substances. I have read lots of interesting reports of people combining ketamine with various tryptamines.

The only thing that has put me off when considering this idea is that, although I very much enjoy the ketamine experience, it leaves me feeling very nauseous for hours afterward. Normally, this is bearable and very much worth the experience but I could imagine this being pretty hellish if I where tripping at the same time.

Because of it's quick onset and short duration, DMT looks very attractive for this purpose.

"It was like time stopped" ... good way to put it :)

This is one of my favorite combos, and I agree with you on the benefits of eating ketamine. But in spite of the timeless calmness of DMT+K space, this combo is super intense on so many levels.

Check out Dondante's last post at the bottom of one of my old report threads. It's a mini-report of four sessions of IV ketamine and DMT. His comments are in line with your observation that ketamine can be used to reign in the DMT trip, which lends credence to the idea that the experiential properties that you both report for this combo may generalize fairly well to other users. I'll probably be trying the IV route myself at some point (I've done IM DMT/ketamine previously, and it was similar to the way you've described.) Thanks for the report.
