As mentioned, the wheel filter is a must. I've floated the cosmos now more times than I care to admit via IMed DMT difumararte made from ultra-cleaned DMT base.
Then, the final preperation uses sterile water with saline (arasol sold for wounds so its sterile until it leaves the bottle) mixed with the DMT salt, and then run through a .02 wheel filter directly into a sterile and (prior to the needle being introduced) sealed ampule). I throw on my trusty label with the MGS Pharmacueticals logo on the vial, another label as to contents of the vial, and their equivalency to the base, my foil hat, and realize what a waste of a life I am.
You can also filter the DMT-soaked solvent through filters made specifically for filtering oils to clean them of proteins...but I think this should be done in addition to an eventual filtration of the water solution.
As long as you use a .02 wheel filter, you should be fine covered for most bacteria and certainly for plant parts and proteins. I am reading however, that these filters PES Filter Membranes (which is what is in the blue wheel filters from what I can tell) do not stand well to acidic conditions.
I do neutralize the DMT solution before I inject it with sterile sodium bicarbonate saturated solution ('bout 2 parts DMT fum liquid to 1 part MGS special smoothin juice (1/3 saturated baking soda water, 2/3rd sterile water, run through a filter and stored in an ampule) as this completely takes away any burn (no matter how many times you wash away excess fumaric acid, the damn stuff still burns) while leaving everything in solution. Just wait for any bubbles to settle.
I may try making up a test vial of 5ml already mixed DMT solution with the baking soda solution, then wheel filter that into a sterile ampule after most of the gas dissipates. I just wonder what happens in the long term (does the DMT eventually 'base out'?)

MST’s or Morphine Sulphate tablets: Use a 0.8 micron (green) filter, unless you’ve got more than one pill in which case you’ll need to put it through a 1.2 micron (red) filter.
Bake or Homebake: Use a 0.2 micron (blue) filter to remove impurities and bacteria.
Opium from poppies: Try a 1.2 micron (red) filter to remove plant residue.
Chalky pills (pethedine, methadone and Ritalin): Use a 1.2 micron (red) filter.
Methadone liquid: Use a 0.2 micron (blue) filter to remove any bacteria.
Amphetamine Sulphate (brown or discoloured speed): You’ll need a 0.8 micron (green) filter.
Crystal Amphetamine (white) or Cocaine: You’ll need a 0.2 micron (blue) filter.

Nylon membranes are extremely durable membranes that allow for more viscous fluids, oils, and even solvents to be filtered through the membrane. When time permits I will have to write up my findings on IMed DMT. I think many people got it wrong here. Strassman never said IMed DMT didn't work right, or wasn't good. he said it did not work at producing the DMT flash of the smoked experience (which is what he was trying to study).
IMing DMT allows a whole new dimension of the drug to be explored. I have experienced oddities and anomalies so consistently (yes I realize what I just typed) that I am convinced this is something unique. For one, IMing DMT makes the world look foreign and alien....everything is tinted yellow (remember than from a bufotenine report) and things look fake, plastic, and off. A bag of pot looked like bit of plastic foam covered in mold, I put it down and did not attempt to ascertain if I could smoke that or not, so strange and real it was. Closing eyes, voices flash light sand colors dictate orders and ideas on the nature of this or that.
Oh mother, it is freaky stuff but it is never scary. Full experience lasts about 45 min and I'm learning that the right dose is about 30-50mg. More than that, the negative effects start increasing faster than the positive ones. More on this for sure.
