DMT help?

Hello fellow traverlers,

Glad to join your forums. My friend recently acquired some NN-DMT in the freebase powder form. I watched several youtube videos and was intrigued enough to try 60 MG. I used the 2L Soda bong as used in this video.

It's a bit in but you'll see it for sure. I tried taking all at once but it proved too much for me. I saw the patterns everyone talks about and walls were about to come down but I pulled back into reality. My computer desk and everything was morphing kind of, but it all came back down. My friend went out and purchased a classic wooden VAPOR GENIE for about 40 bucks from a local head shop. They tried smoking it using the "DMT SANDWICH method" with some hash but they didn't even see the patterns that I saw.

How would you guys recommend on using the classic vapor genie or should I simply go back to the 2l soda bong. Thanks for your help fellas.
 
I've never smoked dmt through my VG but that'd be the first route I'd use considering I don't have a glass vaporizer. I wouldn't sandwich the DMT because it's not in a regular combustion pipe, but place it atop inert smoking material. If you sandwich it, it'll be slower to heat and you won't get it all at once even if it all vaporizes.
When hitting it, start off keeping the flame as deep in the bowl as possible without hitting the ceramic dish. Hit it very slowly to start as hitting it slow will heat it up faster. As soon as you start to taste and feel the dmt hitting your throat you can pull the flame out a little, still in the bowl, and hit it faster (once it's vaporizing you need to get it all in as fast as possible!) to maintain temperature. Try to get as big of a rip as possible and hold it in.

It's taken a lot of practice with my vg to hit it the way I do now. My friends don't like it so much because they don't know what they're doing. Make sure you have the routine down with some weed first before trying on the dmt.
Also, I believe weed vaporizes around 360 and DMT 170. It should be quicker for you to get the DMT hot enough to rip it fast, and that's what you wanna do. Just make sure you keep it warm.

one of my local head shops has oil burner pipes ("crack/meth pipe")... Got one for 10 bucks. A little bit of DMT through the top hole... it vaporizes in seconds. I haven't quite got the technique down, but my second experiment, last night, seemed promising.

I think I just need to let the vapor thicken up in the ball before inhaling. ... And not be afraid to hit it again... and again.
 
The meth pipe method is pretty good but the best is probably going to be what people call "the machine". Basically a crackpipe but with a glass bottle and a bigger wad or copper wool.
 
I always used a different method (with a soda bottle and a 'pipe head') that worked perfectly fine, until I discovery "the machine". It's always ready and loaded and always works. I'd recommend you build one. Costs about nothing, both in terms of money and time.

By the way, it sounds like kind of a waste to be using a vapor genie for vaping DMT, as you might never get rid of that smell. Unless you intended to use it for that purpose only, of course.
 
Yes I agree, make 'The Machine' or fit any other smoking device with metal mesh material so that there is even distribution of molten DMT that evenly vaporates without really burning. So superior by design.
Also, as the smoke can be hot it may be harsh even with something like The Machine (not sure), so an elongated route that allows some cooling could work like a bong with no water or virtually no water (depending on how much DMT you are okay with wasting).

Anyway I am personally switching to I.M. soon (I have already started that with the 5-MeO-DMT analogue), but considering people do not dig the stigma or 'damaging the integrity of their body's skin hull' and that you need absolutely pure / synthetic product I guess that is not for everybody.
 
I've always found it very difficult to "breakthrough" on smoked DMT so I take it orally with an MAOI called moclobemide (trade name aurorix). It comes on slower so you have time to orient yourself before the visual explosions begin, oral DMT also has the greatest bodyhigh of any drug. Kinda like the best Ecstasy you've ever had but a thousand times more wonderful and no comedown at all.
 
I'm familar with the machine but unable to find a through guide to create it. Also I'm a bit tad confused on how to use it? Thanks for the replies guys. So eager to try to make this machine and breakthrough.

I know a lot of people who SWEAR by smoking DMT this way. Don't use the sandwich method in the VG though, just the DMT and lot of screens. The people I know that use this method seem to infer that a high quality jet lighter is also necessary for it to work at full efficiency

I personally have never had an issue using the sandwich method in a party cone piece and a small, waterless bong and lighting the top layer lightly and carefully.

Melt your DMT into your herb, then let it dry (right before usage)... Sometimes hitting a bowl of herb will get it hot enough... but it is very much an art to smoking off herb and most people just end up burning a lot of it and coughing a lot...*indole vapor*

Honestly a simple vaporizer (oil pipe) is whats up . A nice toke of DMT out of a vape will OPEN your lungs and make them feel all nice :) Doses are about half smoked too!

Don't try that whole highschool soda pop bottle rig in your garage (gravity bong) . lol im sure that would make your eyeballs pop right out your head - gravity bong rips of DMT, what will they think of next?
 
I tried using that bottle method and its absolutely shit, and all of my friends who have tried it agree. Using a crack pipe is also not worth it. I've had incredible success putting 50mg DMT alone in a bubbler with just a screen and no water, as I'm pulling the flame gets sucked in and hovers right above the DMT. The crystals melt instantly and the vapor forms very quickly/suddenly. Doing this I have gotten up to 5 consecutive hits and broke through unimaginably hard. Make sure NOT to burn the DMT, you'll know if you do because you can see the crystals catch fire and it will become smoke which tastes terrible and hurts pretty bad, while vapor will be very smooth and almost tasteless if done correctly.
 
I'm heading out tomorrow to my local home depot tomorrow to acquire the steel wool. I can probably find a single liquor shot somewhere as well. I'm just confused on how to correctly use it. Can anyone link to a video?
 
Sorry to go OT...but IMed DMT is the way to go (since I've never IVed it). Sure, smoking it is profound and amazing and heavenly but it is all over too fast. IMed DMT is gentle, lasts about an hour, and you are able to bring back so much more from the trip.


If you have the time, please make a statement or two about IMed 5-MeO-DMT. I personally LOVE 5-MeO-DMT (when smoked) as it is an instant ++++ nearly every time. I tried it once via insufflation but I did not like the experience. That kept me from trying IMing 5-MeO-DMT but perhaps your experience will perk my interest again.

Meth Pipes:

Personally, 'meth pipes' have never worked for me. I can never burn enough DMT fast enough and therefore get enough smoke into my lungs.

Meth Bongs:

With the difficulty of breathing a huge amount of smoke using a meth pipe alone, I tried using a 'meth bong', (like they use to smoke meth in Bangkok, not sure about the states), which i thought would help with regard to the quantity of smoke issue. However, the DMT 'moves' or 'runs' away from the flame (much more than meth even does) and as you need a lot of smoke to 'break through' (where as with meth this quantity of smoke is much less - to get the old 'meth rush'), it can be troublesome. I find that i am moving the bong/pipe around trying to see where the DMT has 'ran' to, in the bulb to catch it. Very fiddly.

Experienced strong closed eye visuals (morphing cube / tesseract, dome, honey comb etc. effects), but never broke through using this method (only tried it once though and the 'bong' wasn't the best, so further experimentation needed), but heck, maybe your technique is better than mine.

I think a meth bong or even a basic meth pipe would work fine with 5meo-DMT as you need a smaller quantity of smoke

Also when using the 'bottle method' - or a good vaporizer (I can imagine)- the chamber where the smoke collects is much greater. This shouldn't make a difference, as it is density of smoke that we should be concerned about not the volume. However, I find that if you fill your lungs full, so your chest is expanded to its maximum, (and then of course you hold your breath) this pushes you over the 'edge' much easier and it is more effective to do this with a 1.5 liter bottle than a small glass pipe (what is the average person's lung capacity, I forget?). I am not sure why it seems to push me over the 'edge' easier (psychological, placebo, maybe?), but with me, it does.

However, this is only my experience, yours could be different.

I can imagine 'the machine' or a good vaporizer would be much more effective than a 'meth pipe.'

I can vouch that the 'bottle method' is much more effective than a basic 'meth pipe' as I have done both. (though 'meth bongs' need further experimentation)

I have also experimented with foil pipes etc with marginal success.

Conclusion:

So to conclude, what I have found in my own experiments: if you are going to use a 'meth pipe' make it into a 'meth bong' as this would be more effective. Better yet, use a good vaporizer, 'the machine' (can not vouch for these two as I have never tried them, though the logic seems sound) or the 'the bottle method'.

Also, dextrorfan said above that 'meth pipes' costs around ten dollars. When I tried the 'bottle method' it cost me nothing as I just used things i found in my home.

Possible Future Direction:

Bucket Bong:

Has anyone tried smoking hash/weed using the 'bucket bong' like they do in the UK and Australia? It involves direct flame - but if we could some how think of a way around this (maybe modify it - right angle 'meth bulb' attached to the top of the bottle maybe?), or use the normal 'bottle method' but do it over a bucket of water - fill the bottle with smoke, remove foil and then push down into the water - I think this would be a truly awesome way to smoke DMT as it forces, with pressure, dense smoke into your lungs:

Tip: If you have used the words: "I think I broke through" or "I am pretty sure I broke through." Then you did not break through. There's no 'I think' about it and more than likely, this failure to break through, is due to poor technique. If you smoke DMT and are not sure if your eyes were open or closed, then this is a good indicator that you broke through.

I can tell the 'bottle method' works, as it puts the fear of God into me. Every time. Where as using a meth pipe seems more like fun, playing around.
