DMT, Help a brotha out.

Hey psych,
I haven't posted in awhile because i haven't had any psychedelics, and therefore no reason to post. However after graduating high school a multitude of strange but awesome things have happened to me in terms of hookups.
A week ago I was told about some insanely bomb acid, so i found it and bought a half strip.
Three days ago I met an old friend, simply by chance. Needless to say we got to talking and before you know it I was told that, in our very own new hampshire, there was a chemist from cali who was extracting DMT. Having money in my pocket and not much to lose I went ahead and bought a fucking gram of that shit.

I have never taken DMT in any form, but I know that there are quite a few ways. I've read the majority of what is on Erowid, but still have a few questions.

1) If I want to take DMT orally do I have to have an MAOI inhibitor aswell?
2) What is the best dosage to start at? I want to become comfortable with it before I even attempt a breakthrough experience. 7 mg?
3) Turning 18 soon, buying a bong. Is it a good idea to bong dmt?
4) once I become more comfortable with dmt, should I take dmt while I'm on acid?(I've dropped a few times, and feel fairly comfortable with the right set and setting)
5) Is sub-lingual dmt possible, and is it a good idea?

All answer's are appreciated.

1) Yes, you have to use a MAOI (leave out the word inhibitor, the I in MAOI already means inhibitor ;) ). DMT is quickly broken down by the enzyme MAO in the gut and liver otherwise. Then it has no chance to reach the brain.
2) I think 15 mg would not be a bad idea. Dosing extremely low from apprehension does not really work, DMT hardly feels milder at low doses it is just more in the distance or less apparent. If you dose very low then it can be hard to immerse yourself in the experience, it's like having one foot in the trip and one foot out, awkward and uncomfortable.
3) You can use a lot of different kinds of pipes but more important than the kind of pipe is the way you layer the DMT to protect it from being burned. Ideal is steel mesh / choreboy, as used in the Machine Tek. You need to melt the DMT onto the steel mesh then put that in a pipe and smoke it. Without mesh you have to be very very careful about your technique because otherwise you easily burn it instead of vaporizing. And you have to vape.
4) We don't answer questions like "should I do this or not?", we can't tell you that. But what I can tell you is that it's possible and you can do it if you are used to both drugs separately first. They work well together and on acid it's like launching from a higher platform. Watch out, it can get very crazy though.
5) That's not a good idea. Freebase DMT will burn your mucous membranes so you cannot snort it without hurting or take it sublingually without a really bad sting or burn. In the best scenario you would have to salt your freebase, like turning it into DMT HCl or DMT acetate or phosphate. Then it should be better but still not worthwhile.

I won't close this just yet but it is preferred that you do not create new threads for subjects that have been covered a lot of times before. You can try to imagine if your question is a unique one or not.
 
He doesn't have mimosa, he has DMT if I am reading correctly.
 
15mg? Is this for oral? You wouldn't feel 15mg. Perhaps try 75-100mg.

BTW, it doesn't really need a chemist to extract DMT. All you need is water and drain cleaner and then you throw in the mimosa.

While you will see many different answers on this specific topic, my own experience is to go for the VaporGenie or similar device. I tried a lot of stuff and the VG (or the Glass VG if you can afford it) are the best, with minimal problems for inhaling the smoke. Being an asthmatic I once was 2 months sick after some particular nasty DMT smoke inhaled through a dry bong. Never had a single issue with the VG.

Yes the ingredients to most drugs from plants are: water, drain cleaner, paint thinner and depending on the electron arrangement, stone etcher.

But just smoke your dmt and see if its what you like. There is no harm in this substance and it will take you somewhere unique. Just remember as with all psychedelics "Don't panic"

Proper term would be alchemist?? One could be a chemist by simply mixing a batch of ghetto j together while an alchemist can make the unthinkable happen through their final product.
Mixing psyches are fucken intense! Have mixed mushies with the deems ++++ without a doubt. Will definitely put some hair on your arse :P
 
and very hesitant to use 'chemist' in such a context, I believe in that case it would simply be a cook.
 
Easier, I'd say. You need to be precise when you're baking, you can extract DMT with a jar full of this and a jar full of that.
 
Indeed it's not very difficult at all and kind of reminds me of brewing tea or coffee, only a little more elaborately and with trying to make it pure. Also I wouldn't say grab some random paint thinner or other solvent. Some apolar solvents definitely work better than other. White spirit naphtha fractions which are the relatively lighter hydrocarbons are best suited and they are usually called just naphtha. Coleman fuel is good for this.

And no the 15 mg was meant for vaporizing it, I assume. He is asking about different methods to consume his DMT, not really asking how to extract any mimosa or whatever. Talking about if its possible to use DMT orally the answer is obviously yes IF using a MAOI, no discussion about methods or oral doses discussed other than that.

Remember if you decide to use steel mesh / choreboy like materials you have to heat the shit out of it first to smoke out the nasty stuff. Just wrap the mesh in a ball of aluminum/tin foil and put a lighter below it. Continue heating from all sides until no more smoke escapes the cracks. That smoke is from materials probably on there from the manufacture of the materials in factories.
In nitrous bulbs there seems to be a similar nasty oily compound that probably comes from the factory process. When you use your cream whip unit a lot you can see the residue on the inside.

But anyway there is a lot of off-topic shit going on and I'm not helping.

I can compare using a bong or other pipe without steel mesh with using steel mesh and I know that there is definitely a lot better vaporization WITH the mesh, it's easier and the smoke is hardly harsh at all. Of course DMT can always produce harsh smoke if its really impure.
But crack pipes or glass dicks or vapor genies are probably adequate as well, maybe similar to a random pipe plus steel mesh. I have no idea how superior the actual 'Machine' is.
With the VaporGenie I got to wonder though how you prevent the DMT from melting down into the pipe. IMO / IME there should always be a bed of material for the DMT it can melt into before vaporizing further. Some use ash layers (I did this with moderate success), some use cannabis or other herbs, some use steel mesh / choreboy which technically seems to have ideal properties for heat distribution and liquid and vapor dispersion.
 
The key thing is never to put drain cleaner in an aluminium pot. It's like blood from an Alien - just drops straight through the pot.
 
Best to not use aluminium pots at all in any kind of kitchen chemistry. You can't even make jam in the fucking useless things.
 
^LOL, aluminum has such crappy thermal conductivity that you can't even cook with an aluminum pot. If it wasn't so cheap, I don't think they would make anything kitchen-related out of it. :D
 
If you really want a good idea about this one, I would say something like 30-50mg in a straight bat pipe in between a little herb on both sides. Heat the glass a little to melt it into the herb. Pack it down a little more, lay down somewhere quiet and take a moment to think about what you wish to gain from the experience and then smoke it until you cant.

Those last thoughts tend to manifest. "I want to be reminded of what its like to be happy" is a good one. That one has helped me get out of some rough times....

If you just want to get your feet wet, throw like 25-50mg into a joint or blunt and smoke it with someone.
