DMT in Tokyo
After 6 months in Japan not having touched any drugs (scarce), I decided to try some 'legal' drugs bought at a market stall in Shinjuku. Having heard about DMT and it's highly hallucinogenic effects, I decieded to give it a go.
Luckily there is still a few research chemicals that you can buy easily in Japan...DMT included.
I purchased a point (100mgs) of pure orange DMT crystals (freebase). The seller said it was enough for 2 experiences...but I thought he was speaking shit.....looking back...he was dead on correct...2 STRONG experiences!
I don't know what I was expecting but I was shocked at the effects even though I did LOTs of research on bluelight, lycaeum and erowid.
I smoked about 50mgs...half of the crystals in 2 tokes from a glass pipe.
Within 10 seconds I felt a strong rush and sound became fainter. In another 5 seconds the open eye visuals began. In my 8 years of smoking marijuana, taking acid (50 times) and XTC (200+) I have never experienced halucinations like it ... I have a massive poster (map) of Japan on my wall and it was swirling and breathing like an organic mass of color. The water on the map became real, and tsunami-like waves moved all around the poster...my attention was transfixed on it.
When I forced myself to look at something else (the carpet)...it became 4 dimensional, organic, moving and breathing like the fibres were millions of individual creatures... alive.
The hallucinations were so strong at this point that i had to lie down. I just stared at my hands, which transformed. First a checkerboard pattern appeared on my hands, then my skin wrinkled instantly like that of a 150 year old man. At this point it was so overwhelming that i began to dribble in my catatonic state...also I was a little concerned about my breathing but not overly. After i managed to keep my mouth closed and scoop the spit off my mouth and chin....the visuals subsided and within 10 mins I was down...and evaluating the experience. In an hour i was back to normal as if nothing had happened.
I like the short duration...acid just gives that dirty feeling for too long...but dmt last for about 30 minutes (5 mins intense hallucinations).
I was suprised at how much saliva i was producing and had to constantly spit to get rid of it.
Some enlightening things come about from the trip. I thought about myself and at the time i thought i should be less self-centred (definately ego killing!
). I also realised that I spend way too much time on the internet (which at the time seemed like an extrodinarily artificial communication medium...alas i type this trip report to you8) )
Overall very interesting...but not a social drug. Could be recreational with the right group of friends...but VERY intense ....
