DMT capsule question

I will be getting a hold of some DMT in a capsule intended for an oral dose. However, I would much more like to experience the "blast off" from smoking it.

My question is, would I just be able to take the DMT out of the capsule, put around 40mg in some weed and smoke it? The source is reliable and clean. I was just wondering if there's a common knowledge of something that needs to be done with the DMT to make it effective orally that wouldn't be safe to smoke that could be mixed in with the capsule. Any help is much appreciated.

So after a quick Google search I found out that it needs to be taken with an MAOI. I'll safely assume it's bad to smoke an MAOI, so now I change my question to this. Two questions actually. Do oral DMT caps usually come with the MAOI in them? And if so, is it reasonably possible to separate them?

Could you ask your source if it comes with an MAOI in it?

im cant be sure but maybe they are tring to rip you off with some other chem as dmt is not oraly active and seems to me unlikley that all the plant material needed for ayahuaska can fit in a capsule... maybe pharmahuaska ?

These are rather tricky questions you have there

First, you can't be sure if that capsule really contains DMT (freebase DMT? Or a salt? Which salt?) or an MAOI (which kind of MAOI? Freebase?) or both. Second obvious complication is the ratio of DMT/MAOI. Some people need only about 15 mgs of freebase DMT with a full dose of harmala-MAOIs, others need 100+ mgs with an equivalent full dose of harmala-MAOIS. Due to these facts, I personally would not like to ingest such a capsule, even if its ingredients are in fact what was advertised.
I haven't ever heard of DMT coming in capsules for oral consumption, be it with or without MAOI, so no idea how to answer your first question.
In the case that it indeed contains a DMT/MAOI mixture it could be possible to separate them, but a good background in chemistry is certainly needed for that task.
I don't know how reliable your source is, so I am sceptical that it even is DMT. I think a psychedelic RC is more likely.

In the end, that is mostly nonsensical speculation, thats why identification threads are not allowed here. They usually lead to nothing. In the sense of harm reduction: don't consume dubious drugs.

It's just crystallized DMT in a capsule as far as anyone is aware. The source is trustworthy but I don't have the guys number on hand. I can find out tomorrow EXACTLY what's in it.

Assuming then it's crystalized DMT with a crushed pharma MAOI in the capsule with it (which seems to make the most sense), would the two compounds be visually distinguishable for separation?

It can be possible, depending on the purity and 'chemical state' (freebase/salt) of both. If both are of high purity and for example a fumarate salt, they would be white powders. If they are of mediocre purity, both are off-white tannish, to brown.
If you separated them mechanically it would still be kind of difficult to determine which one is which and if the DMT is clean enough to vaporize. Keep in mind, if it is a harmala-MAOI it is much more potent when smoked and can be quickly overdosed.
Is it impossible for you to ask your source for DMT that is intended to vaping (i. e. without adulterants to make it orally active)? Unidentified MAOIs are rather sketchy. Some of them are reversible with a short elimination half life and relatively benign. Others are irreversible and therefore more problematic and can fuck up your metabolism for weeks (with serious side-effects like hypertonic crisis).
Better to be safe and to know what you're ingesting (and to not take if, if in doubt)

No-one would go to the bother of crushing up a pharma MAOI and then mixing it with the DMT in a single capsule splinter. You're supposed to take the MAOI 45 minutes before the DMT anyway.

What you probably have is some extracted DMT freebase in a capsule. Obviously a capsule is the best and most comfortable way of taking DMT orally.

To take it orally you need an MAOI like moclobemide. 10 drops of essence of essential lemon oil will eliminate any nausea.

If you want to smoke it, take it out of the capsule and smoke it. You won't need and MAOI for that but putting it on weed won't work - you need some kind of glass crack pipe and to take huge lungfulls. Just smoking it on a joint might get you some very small effects - but it'll probably be mostly placebo.
