Whenever you smoke your DMT, do you have music in the background? If so, how loud?

Just want to hear peoples actions on whether they listen to music while under DMT's magic spell.

sometimes it depends on my mood ?

I acutally prefer saving music for special occasions when im dosing dmt, like my 1st changa experience was listening to 1200 micrograms tune ''dmt'' very memorable loved every min ofit.

just choose something that makes u relaxed and positive, whatever that may be. Setting and mood can effect your experience (or has for me anyway). for example "Reign in Blood" ..maybe not the best choice.

I always have some music in the background at a low to medium volume. I almost always play a psychill/psybient group named Solar Fields, try their album called Leaving Home, I highly recommend it for DMT.

Carbon Based Lifeforms - Abiogenesis

Not silly loud, normal home listening volume, in bed.
Had such a divine journey to that song. It fits the drug perfectly IMO

Yes, I like music when I journey, excite as many of the senses as I can :)

Or Solar Fields

In fact, anything from Ultimae Records would work

I either like to smoke in silence, or with music loud enough to be felt, but quiet enough to talk over, or with really ridiculously loud music sometimes too...

It all depends on everything else though obviously.

But one thing I consistently do every time I use DMT is use it by myself.

Other psychedelics I love to do with my close friends, but DMT is something I pretty much do exclusively alone. I have done it with other people, but they always distract or more so discomfort me, so now I dont smoke DMT unless im by myself.

Listen to the song by "Younger Brother" called "Your Friends Are Scary" really loud on a good system start the song right when you start to hit the bowl.... thats some quality. As is all psybient really, well, most of it..... I also like to listen to really bizarre stuff there is a mix I downloaded from some website a year or two ago I think the artist is called "the wireless penguin" or "M&Ms" im not sure, one im assuming is the artist name, the other the mix series or show name, or label name or something... the set is called "the ayahuasca mix" and its rightfully named, there are samples of actually ayahuasca ceremonies with shaman whistling icaros and stuff, you can hear them cleansing things with their mapacho and stuff.... then I swear you can hear a guy throwing up in the background ..... its fucking wild, and the music... i dont even know what kind of music to call it, some stuff is straight up drone, other stuff is like psybient, some kinda techno-ish, but all very spiritual and trance inducing.... I had my first breakthrough experience while listening to that mix..... even though durring the breakthrough i couldnt hear anything, when coming back from the breakthrough, there could not be a better soundtrack.

On my first nn-DMT experience over 3 years ago, I was abducted by 3 alien beings to the Pink Floyd track "Us And Them".
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0pbso85eeNo I had the music on pretty low.

I think that it can be a great experience with or without music, it's just all dependent on how you feel at the time before going into hyperspace.

i myself have never been blessed to have a DMT experience but i think that as with LSD shpongle and the like would be my first choice hands down. from what i understand their songs are meant for DMT as they mention it quite often and a lot of songs are in the 10 to 20 minutes range which is the typical length of a smoked DMT trip, right?

I personally don't ever trip with out music going, especially inside. I can be fine with out music outside (especially when tripping with other individuals), but inside I honestly feel off not having any sort of music, to the point where I become very uncomfortable potentially leading to a weird headspace.

The music I usually choose for DMT is slightly more on the chill side consistently than on other drugs (though, I mainly listen to downtempo, so its not much chiller besides the fact ambient is used more frequently), but I will throw on some heavy psy sounds (like shpongle) and would like to try out specific tool and NIN songs (nin on dissociatives is quite the experience). I find DMT to be on of the most immersive drugs associated with music, with DXM being a close second, so I couldn't imagine dosing with out some sort of tunes on.

Volume wise, not much different than normal listening volume, maybe a tad quieter because sounds seem to increase in volume on DMT.

Haha, V, I'm glad to see you on here!

100% in agreement about solar fields. Why don't you post a link to the album or something?

There is nothing like solar fields on DMT, or really, on any psychedelic with dissociative qualities. Works wonders under the influence of k, DXM, or 4-meo-pcp, and DMT's (smoked) visual pixelation along with it's depersonalization (even at lower doses) can be quite similar to some of the qualities seen with the said dissociatives.

I always find that not matter what, some solar fields, bonobo, helios, younger brother, shpongle (though sometimes can get intense in certain headspaces or enviroments), telefon tel aviv, mum, fomatic, kiln, abukus, bluetech, pink floyd, certain venetian snares tracks, aphex twin, amon tobin, john hopkins, sts9, bibio, the flashbulb, etc all compliment, or imo help create a wonderful psychedelic experience. Music is such a huge part of my life, and psychedelics get so much of their magic through the interaction of sounds in the form of music. I can't see a situation where some tunes shouldn't be going when tripping (unless the great out doors is in play, and even then I still prefer the addition of tunes :P).

Movements is another solid one to check out. Mirrors edge sound track was pretty sick on ketamine. It sent me to some crazy worlds/headspaces (continuously changing objective viewing might be a better way to put it).

Don't know how I forgot Carbon Based Life forms, always a good choice. I will usually always have CBL playing at some point during come downs of most psychedelics.
