DMT (30mg smoked) + Oxycodone (30mg oral) - Experienced - "Salvia Space Through DMT?"
In the title I said "experienced" which is not a lie. I am very experienced in both chemicals, but the results of this combination were completely unexpected and intriguing. The trip made me feel inexperienced in that I have never once suspected that my source for DMT would add any cutting agents.
It seems absurd to think that DMT would be cut with anything, at least around here. It seems even more absurd that anyone, anywhere, would cut DMT with Salvinorum-A. So, I refuse to believe that it was cut with anything. On the ohter hand my most recent experience on DMT just screams Salvia. How is this possible?!
The DMT looked, tasted, smelled, and burned my throat like hell just like any other batch. Light doses were the same: geometrical closed and open eye visuals, warm rush throughout the body, etc. This all mixed well with my typical opioid high, but mostly overpowered it. Then, I decided to take it up a step while watching the nature movie "Genesis," which I highly recommend for those who enjoy contemplating evolution on psychedelics.
Anyway, after filling my bowl with chamomile tea, I sprinkle a generous layer of plastic odored crystals on top and hover a flame over the bowl while pulling to melt the DMT into the herbal mixture. My good friend "A" taught me this technique. This makes it much easier to get a good, solid hit without burning the crystals on the first toke. I pull until the vapor/smoke overflows my lungs, then take a short breathe to ease the burn and overcome the cough reflex. I remember thinking '"A" taught me well.' I was impressed at how long I was able to hold in the good stuff after finally perfecting this important technique.
I hold my lungs full until the floor and the walls start to take on a life of their own. As I exhale everything seems to go from organic to mechanic. My reality suddenly appears to be assembled out of legos. I still see many of the familiar DMT patterns covering every surface, but something is odd. I feel too high to still be on this planet. Where are the elves and aliens? I hear no futuristic ancient dialects echoing! I can't see anyone's merkabah! What the hell is going on!? I start to realize that my state of consciousness is very similar to the consciousness that can only be describe as "Salvia," at least until now.
Everything is moving as if existence itself was three dimensional flip-book. I wonder how long I am going to be stuck like this. How does the flip-book end? My inner dialogue turns into a heated debate over a choppy cell phone connection. As I pace around my lego castle, I am finally able to remind myself that the experience is temporary. After I sit back down, relaxed and perplexed, I try to study every aspect of the remainder of my trip.
How is it possible that my DMT experience was so similar to that of Salvia? I have had break through experiences on both substances, and neither have ever mimicked each other in any way. I have a couple of theories. Keep in mind these are semi-educated guesses.
1) Side effects like the perception of flip-book motion, a choppy block-like structured reality, and a fear of being trapped are although commonly experienced during my own Salvia trips, could also be results of overload in different parts of the brain. This flip-book motion perception I have also experienced on uncomfortably high doses of THC. The block structured reality seems to be somewhat exclusive to Salvia trips, and not just in my own. I read and hear of many Salvia trips having a mechanical type theme to it. The same goes for the fear of being trapped as well, but this does not mean that the brain cannot also react in this way to any other chemical. Anyway, this theory suggests that the theme of this past DMT trip only resembled a Salvia trip due to typical brain function under stressful circumstances combined with the power of suggestion.
2) Reconsidering the fact that I am fairly experienced with DMT, and that nothing like this has ever happened to me, I have thought of another theory. This one seems like a stretch, but I'd like to propose this as a challenge to the people on this forum who are (much) more than semi-educated.
Salvinorum-a is known to be a kappa opioid receptor agonist. Oxycodone is also an opioid agonist. I have tried doing some research on how it could be possible that agonists of the same receptor family could have similar effects when combined with a powerful 5-HT2A agonist. If only I knew more about the mechanisms of action of these drugs, I could figure out what just happened. Even though the first theory seems more probable, I still want to lean more towards the possibility of the oxycodone creating these salvia-like effects in my DMT trip. I know it is far fetched, but I think if anyone else has had a similar experience, then it very well could be a possibility.
Or, someone could have put salvinorum-a in my DMT, but that would be retarded.
