dj's, post your latest mix here!

Eclectic

Mystic, its an interesting mix to be sure. Very eclectic. Kinda its own genre. Yeah. I like it so far (at the sublime song).

haha, not a bad thing at all. that sesame street intro was awesome. anytime you have steve miller and beastie boys in the same tracklist, you know you're in for a treat. very cool stuff

it was a very hard mix to do, some of the tracks just simply couldn't be beatmatched since the songs in the mix range in bpm from the high 70s to 110 or so

edit: i did mix it all from vinyl. don't own cd players yet :(

Damn! First off I am typing an essay and have only listened to three of the sets, but all of them have rocked!

Mystic- I wish I had a computer to download these on. I actuallly have become quite a big fan of all your mixes and often listen top them while doing school work at the computer lab. question: do you spin locally in your hometown? I bet it would be a good time seeing that, I mean damn, I love nayone who puts Steve Miller and Dj Kool in a mix( I love that dj kool track and all the remixes....its just one of those songs)

and Jeff Taylor.... I'm really digging this mix too, even though I'm only 35 minutes through. 2 thumbs up!

and to everyone else, i'll try and get more listening time in and leave small comments. I'm not the best technical critiquer, but I can give opinions, feedback, and encouragment rather well!

grace and peace to all!

Damn, Alterego....! I am really liking this mix too, especially the last track (or 2?).... that time and time again miz is so sick! I have heard the track played differently, but this really really rocks....!!!

these mixes just keep distarcting me from my essay....

oh well...wake up early i guess8)

=D its worth it though=D

Sae: yeah i do play out, though lately there aren't many events happening aroudn where i live. I dont play out the downtempo and such like in that last mix, that was a fun mix only really. I play funky and deep house live

Spose I might as well post a link to this baybee...

Recorded last month. I was drinking cheap wine from a tumbler at a house party while it was being recorded, so excuse some of my mixes.

funky, deep, and gospel house are my favorite styles!

like I said man, I'm going to get my hands on a computer and for sure download some of your mixes on to a disc.... though I doubt any of the older links in this post really work anymore... well whatever we'll see what happens!

Dante- I was digging the mix, there were a 1 or 2 parts I could mos def hear the mix start in, but besides that I enjoyed it.

Those last two marco Bailey tracks weren't really my cup of tea, but I'm not entirely into tech either.....so yeah...

I also for sure loved that Beach Boys sample.... that was sick!

hey killah.... i listened to a little of the rap one, but most of the tracks dont interest me....still the few i listened too didnt sound bad....

its just my opinion but i cant handle most of the rap songs you have on there.... i actually wouldnt even classify them as real hiphop, but i guess thats a matter of what one would define that is.... thats why I refer to your mixes as rap... but whatever I'm going on a stupid tangent on something you didnt even want an opinion for....

oh yeah, i wasnt able to listen to the mixing the best, but I was really digging the way you brought mos and craig david in after that rock the mic song... kind of a abrupt switch with the tones, but I still dug it

grace and peace

thanks a lot for the feedback! i really appreciate it.

the reason that "time and time again" track sounds so familiar is because the vocals appeared on a house track in 2000. the house version is Kings of Tomorrow f/ Julie McKnight - 'Finally'. the breaks version on my mix is pretty new and i think it might actually be a bootleg.

i'm glad you're enjoying it :)
