Divulge in darkness? Wanting a bad trip? (also a Datura question)

^ I wouldn't call it scary, necessarily (at least from my experience). It's just a "different" feeling, which could be interpreted as "scary" if you're not totally prepared for it.

hiphophippy, i'd be interested in talking to you about the way you experience reality sometime. probably in a chat or email rather than forum though, i wouldn't want mass-speculation of either of our ideas/views.

i have been practicing shamanism since i was 'called' into the realms about 6 years ago, and have seen many sights which may be able to help you to assimilate the esoteric experiences you've had. while i'd love to teach all of these internet-goers about shamanism and the application of the spirit in their lives, i fear my lack of fool-proof linguistic coordination with regards to 'the spirit realm' may wind up being the root of debate. and i have no interest in debating about the way i see the world, or the things that i have been shown by my sources. and so such discussions are better left in privacy.

there are many 'levels' of consciousness, and much much more information lying before us than is processed by our minds on a mundane day-to-day basis. there are also things to be heard, and seen, which cannot be heard/seen without being on different 'frequencies' than we normally are on (or at least the ones that most people are normally on, including myself, i transverse a consciousness corridor to reach these realms. you may be more regularly present there). excuse my language, these concepts go far beyond words that i have access to so this is all a make-shift explanation....

anyone else interested in shamanism i am willing to help understand this medium, my understanding of the topic comes from wells of knowledge far beyond my own petty intelligence. possibly the same wells which the ancients drew upon the understand what they knew, and that which cannot fully be understood by science.

lol, dont object me you science-heads. i'm as empirical as the next coherentist, i just have been led unto a different path, and thus have seen different things. i have briefly described these 'out of the box' and mystical ideas only to help our friend hiphophippy, i'm not trying to convince anyone of anything...lol, go back to your calm view of reality and relax....nothing to see here people!! *flagging the onlookers onward*

oh, and about jimson....i grew this plant one year and it did well originally and then got kind of withery. i have grown inoxia all 3 years and have bonded much with it...larger flowers, intoxicating smell, nice luscious rounded leaves...:) love :)... they are both very powerful feeling and i will grow jimson again sometime, but i wanted to say that my exp with the spirit of datura comes mostly from bonding with my inoxia, or toloache as the natives, as well as i call it.

oh and thanks for the compliments on my first post :D *warm and fuzziness, good vibes, smiles* something about datura makes me feel passionate, and thus i write passionately regarding it :)

If you would like to be truly frightened, might I suggest a high dose of ayahuasca? *evil grin*

Warning: prepare to meet the sort of fear that ISN'T so fun. 8o

I always find that extremely interesting. Love the entheogenic connections between mankind and plants and spirituality.

Although I'm an intellectual and study science and logic as well, I do find occultism and spirituality very enlightening and something I personally have practiced a bit and have been trying to get back into. Especially the study of the mind and dreams; I find psychonautics really cool and profound. My main calling has been ceremonial and chaos magick for a time, though shamanism has always interested me as well.
