divine inspiration

Well, maybe not divine, how 'bout cherubic?
Relatively a newbie to this forum, I have been inspired to post some of my work by my mentee cherub. So, here you go, for all it's worth,...
"Time"
Another day passes
uneventfully
Giving in to my own futility
I sigh
So may days gone by
I cannot bear to count them any longer
I crave the clarity I once possesed
to not only see the passing time,
but to reach out and grasp it,
use it like a cave dwellers tool.
My grasp on reality is too weak
But I will not struggle for the prize
Good things come to those who wait
Time will be my ally once again
Someday.
