I sit and look out the window
Watching life pass me by
Missed moments
Casually swept away
Under the blue rug
Which lies directly beneath my soul
A purple haze
Pushing towards sanity
Musical lyrics
Float around outside my mind
The pressing bassline
Runs up though my body
Feeling comfort within sensations
As it fades into the next track
Wishing it waz just as easy
To skip to the next track
In my life

I don't think that you should ever wish you could fast forward a bit of your life. Every experience is good for you in some way, and hence even when you wish you could fast forward, it will be beneficial or in some way influence who you are relative to the future.
:)
Anyways, I liked this poem very much.
