i understand that the distillation of ethanol for any reason is illegal in most places. my question is: can an air stone (like from an aquarium) be used to remove the volatile goodies from an alocohol/water solution? will the booze (ethanol) attach itself in any way to the bubbles? what about methanol and other harmful distillates?
i know this is probably a stupid question, but i'm sometimes a stupid guy. unfortunately, air stripping is used for so many other things that a google search on the topic didn't do much. i was hoping that someone with more chemistry knowledge than me could be helpful.
thanks in advance!
