Dissolving a pill under your tongue

I want to put a very chalky pill under my tongue and let it dissolve. How long should I keep it under my tongue to let it dissolve for? In the past I would let it dissolve for a couple minutes and then chase it down with water.
 
^^agreed. either let it dissolve all the way, or just swallow it. especially with pills, there is way more filler than actual content, so if you arent going to let it go all the way, the yucky taste far outweighs the benefits

You will be pulling rather funny faces if you dont lol.
You might come up slightly slightly faster if you let it dissolve but your much better off eating it,

The people i know of who let md and pills and such and such dissolve on their tounges frequently compain of Ulcers in the mouth :D

If I let it dissolve under my tongue, will I still get the full effects or will I lose some of its content?
 
why are you so set on letting a pill dissolve under your tongue? if you're concerned about efficient forms of administration, plug the thing...

you'll actually get more of it, since your stomach acid wont break any down, but not much.

oh and marko, i meant if he only lets it dissolve for a few minutes, ie not all the way. i usually dissolve my pills all the way because of the benefits, but if hes only going to get 20% of the MDMA dissolved before swallowing it, IMO theres not much point

harm reduction, brah. method in question is sublingually absorbing the mdma. its up there as one of the top 3 methods of taking mdma...why are you so against it???
 
Just remember that pressers don't take into consideration that people will be taking pills in any way other than swallowing them - injecting / plugging / snorting / sublingual (under your tounge) can lead to problems with the binders etc (burning, ulcers, sores are all common complaints).

If you have one pill/dose then the effects of simply swallowing it vs letting it dissolve under your tounge is not worth the risk of the mouth sores / ulcers etc.

pretend i'm really dumb for a second and draw a line between what he's asking and harm-reduction.

this is not a harm reduction question - it's an efficiency of route of administration question. i'm not against it and my questions to the op (along with my advice) stand.

another novelty route of administration. there is little benifit and can cause ulcers/chem burns and tastes like shit.
 
Yeah if I have a pill, I just dump it in the guts.
Any other kind of administration is best left for that tasty crystal molly from beyond the stars :P
 
There is a bit of sense to putting a pill under your tongue to absorb it sublingually, if you're not in a position to plug it (both are soft tissue absorption, so they are virtually identifcal ROA's as far as I know).

I get an odd pleasure from the nasty taste of MDMA, because I associate it with what's about to happen. I don't know that I could hold out and let an entire pill dissolve under my tongue, but worth a shot.

I've taken bk-MDMA through sublingual administration and it was great.

Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't the ulcers due to mdma's corrosive nature and not from the binders?
 
a friend of mine seriously damaged her tongue due to dissolving lots of molly over the weeend. it looked very bad and for about 4 days she complained that EVERYTHING tasted like blood. not worth it imo.
