Dissociatives and clonus

The other night while coming down from K (bought as MXE, but from experience I'm pretty sure I got K) I kept catching my self rhythmically "tapping my toe" which I could easily stop when I caught it but then it would happen again. Also happened with my finger to a lesser extent. After reading up I'm pretty sure that it was clonus. A mineral supplement (magnesium, calcium with vitamin D) and 1mg clonazepam stopped it dead. I'm thinking this may have been related to mineral defeciency as I'd not taken my vitamins that day. Any ideas?

Ketamine, and especially MXE, are dopaminergic stimulants that can cause tics/clonus in some. (I don't see why anyone would sell K as MXE - MXE is cheaper, less immobilising and longer lasting)

The clonazepam probably fixed it. It's nothing to worry about though, it will wear off as the drug does.

This is not terribly advanced, move to PDD.

Thanks sekio. I hadn't really noticed it as that pronounced before but it was just a minor annoyance. I was under a bit of stress at the time, have a history of generalized tonic-clonic seizures (3 or 4 total in ~25 years, so not too many) & an uncle with MS so reading about it scared me a bit but as you said it has only happened during the comedown and only while under the drug's influence. If you or anyone else has anymore input let me know. Regards, -oar
