As far as dissociatives go, I've tried Nitrous Oxide, Dextromethorphan, 4-Meo-PCP, 3-Meo-PCE and Methotexamine (and technically an Opiate/Opioid not a dissociative but shares quite a few traits, Pentazocine). I've not been able to get my hands on Ketamine which is the main one I wanted to try.

Now I'm not too sure if it's something that I should be excited about.
Although I enjoyed the experiences but don't feel like I gain anything from them. There were no insights, no mental/spiritual development or any other points that make me want to try the experiences again.

Doses have been tried from moderate to high on each substance. Nitrous being the most enjoyable but amazingly short lasting making it too expensive to be worth trying on any sort of regular occasion. Even on that I just felt very light headed, giddy and had a very pleasant body buzz. The other substances give varying degreesof pretty much just the same effects.

There have been no visuals or hallucinations as such. I've had the world appear like a wet oil painting that could be moulded, I've been transported to wild and wonderful places when I closed my eyes.

But when the experience is over, it's like I may as well have just been watching a movie. I don't feel like I've expanded my mind or gained anything positive from the experiece like I would with most Tryptamines and some Phenethyamines. At least with stimulants I get shit done. I may not come out the other side spiritually changed but at least I don't have any dirty dishes :D

So is this all Dissociatives have to offer or am I missing out on something? I just don't get why they are such a popular branch of recreational drugs if this is all you get.

most likely you are not missing anything. im the same as you sadly even with very high doses :( please be careful with your doses

I'm pretty sure methoxetamine is responsible for my renewed interest in Anarchist politics.

One night I started a session then realised the cat's litter needed changing. I ended up three hours later with the cleanest bathroom I've had for a while.

It also seems to have potential for boosting creativity, particularly writing and possibly music and visual arts.

Set, setting and dose are the three variables you need to pay attention too. Have a plan. Pre-load your mind with material you want to work with. Don't dose too high if you want to achieve things.

Other reasons why dissociatives are popular include lack of a hangover or comedown, anti-depressant effects, sheer entertainment value.

Now am I missing something with quite a lot of PCP analogs, nitrous oxide, DXM, pentazocine and other benzazocines taken, and also not feeling like dissociatives really change the world or something?

First of all, not all of these drugs work in the same way. PCP analogs main target is NMDA channel and sigma receptors. DXM and DXO have a lot of targets, DXM is quite a weak antagonist of NMDA but it's a better SERT and NAT blocker so I'd add that. dl-pentazocine is a kappa agonist and a sigma agonist. Nitrous oxide is a totally different substance in terms of targets (it blocks NMDA but it does something to GABA A-subunit receptors and opioid system in the body as well, also it's been shown that alpha-2 antagonists blocked analgesic effect of nitrous oxide and that's not all).

However, I've never gained anything from experiences with psychedelics. I've got a scientific point of view on everything so maybe this is why but in my opinion all those special experiences after psychedelics or dissociatives intake are caused by their impact on perception and cognition. I favor dissociatives, they let me run away from the world I don't like but I've never had any religious (well, I'm an atheist) or whatever revelations. They just bring peace for me and that's all. Really, it's great to shoot ketamine intramuscularly and feel totally free from everyday anxiety, idiotic problems, and all the things I hate but I can't help them. But that's all. Also, such sessions may be antidepressant at times and I suffer from BPD so it's like a constant swing from depression to mania and the opposite.

So my answer is "no, you're not missing anything". Taking PCP or PCE wouldn't open some doors you couldn't walk through on drugs you've taken.

If, when having sex, you just think about the biochemistry involved then it's not going to be the best sex. Admittedly it could be interesting. But it'll be more exciting and pleasurable if you think about your bodies intertwining, the smell of her, and the mutual giving and receiving of pleasure.

Right, like I think of chemical structure of the active ingredients of the drugs I have to take every morning... The same goes for binging on various opioids and taking various benzodiazepines for years. That's not the "scientific point of view" I meant. 8) Then I would think of all hormones making me aroused, then what happens during sliding movements and stimulation of my penis and my partner's vagina, clitoris... Sure I do that along with an analysis of male and female orgasms.%)

Out of DXM, Ketamine & N2O I would say it's true that Ketamine is a much more classic dissociative than DXM and Nitrous. Its pretty good on its own however with alcohol its a desaster (emergency room kind of disaster btw).

I've never K-holed though I've gotten close to a K-hole. I've gone to the 4th and upper levels of the 4th plateau with DXM, while I had my fun with N20 as well.

Most of my experience with Ketamine has been with K bumps, as in 25mg-35mg bumps...one every 30 min kind of thing, but like I said always stopping when feeling a K-hole, so never really reached a K-hole.

The BEST psychedelic and dissociative experiences in my opinion and definatley something I would recommend to everyone who likes K and dissociatives in general is to take a small bump of K on a sober mind (no more than 35mg-45mg if its really cut, or 25mg-30mg if its good), wait at least 5-7min so that you feel that onset of the the first wave of effects setting in (right as you are thinking that you better find a place to sit down, don't wait long enough that you don't want to move) and have hand some nitrous. Take at least 2 hits and if possible have another hit ready for when you actually peak on the K.

The effects are incredible and indescribaeble, the distortions in sound that it creates, along with the visuals cannot be replicated by any other psychedelic or psycehdelic combinations that at least i've had personally. It goes to such a complex level that it intertwines sound and speech and if somebody is besides you speaking to you its what I would immagine aliens to sound like. Sound becomes fragmented into such small tiny pieces and samples of the original/initial (real time) sound, the high from nitrous combines EXTEMELY well with that of small doses of Ketamine, during this time it's as if God becomes a DJ and takes every sound around you until it is cut down to its most basic...its undescribeble as you can see I'm having a hard time describing it. The visuals are good too, i've never gotten visuals (open eye visuals) from Ketamine that I remeber other than colours brighter sometime fading to black, but on this combo you get very intense colorful visuals along the lines of high dose LSD mixed with MDMA.....kaleidescopic basically...nothing materialzing however people look very wierd/different, at times the colors are so intense they take over your entire field of vision and you are under the impression that you are blind or that your eyes are closed, you are lost in a kaleidoscopic haze and if someone is talking it will confuse you enven more as the pitch in sound is extreme and you cannot find out where the sound is coming from (what direction).

Just because you don't like the effects of a drug doesn't mean the whole world isn't gonna like it dude. I know a lot of people who love the effects of ketamine moreso then anything else. It's all really personal preferance dude. I have a lot of experience with k. For me it makes the room all spinny and shaky, everything on the walls kinda takes on its on life and moves around wherever the fuck it wants. Forming a sentence of intellectual integrity is seemingly impossible, walking becomes quite a feat too. I have never gained "insight" or "spiritual development" on ketamine, quite honestly it does the exact opposite to me!
