Displaying gang signs to undercovers leads to bust

^^^^ You have to admit, though, that he seems a most polite and cooperative gang member. My grandmother would probably think he's "nice."
 
lol seriously. But again, if I had to guess, I'd say that the xanax in his pocket could very likely have been the root of his stupidity. How many times have you awoken in the morning only to (partially) remember what you did the day before? You just make dumb choices sometimes when you're all benzo'd out. Hell, the kid may not even remember the damn incident lol. There was this time in high school, one of my first benzo experiences ever. My friend was on them too, and I wouldn't drive his car (land rover) because I was too fuct up. So, he drove (even though he was as bad as I was). The next day he's like 'damn that was so messed up last night, I can't believe my rover is okay!' - that was at like late afternoon, and as soon as he said that it all came back to me - we drove back and he hit multiple mailboxes as he kept drifting off the road. It was amazing tho, I had gone all day without any recollection of the incident whatsoever. Benzos are a helluva a drug!
 
^^^^ Yeah, that's true of any depressant with retroactive amnesia qualities. I had some similar experiences with alcohol as a teenager. I remember waking up in the morning going, "Oh shit!" and running downstairs and checking the car out praying there weren't pieces of skull on the front fender.

Such behavior is highly unrecommended.

So maybe this kid is telling his lawyer, "Yo, I don't remember bringing those cops to my house, yo."

And for once he might be telling the truth.
 
'retrograde amnesia' or 'anterograde amnesia' I believe it's called. Gotta love benzos!!! God I love benzos :)

I would have just said i was kidding, had i been stopped for that kind of thing, denied consent to a search. hell i probably would have dumped the xanax somewhere i could have found it later when i saw the car i just flash did a 180 and is now speeding towards me. seeing as they havent said "stop police", you can run all you want until they identify themselves and you should have more than enough time to dump the drugs. but most of all if i knew there were guns and drugs at my house id never be stupid enough to let some one in. Thats so fucking stupid. he could have said, im not letting enter the house, wait outside and ill go in and grab the ID.

NO, no cop would be so stupid as to let a suspect already under arrest go into a house unaccompanied. He could use the time to shove drugs up his an0r or come out blasting away with a gun.

The right thing to say is I don't have one, its still legal in America not to have an ID.

I've met younger kids who held more weight than that. And we don't even know whether or not that was his stuff, or a stash house....
 
WTF! Last time I checked, you can't get arrested for making gang signs. I'm from New York cops see the stacking all the time and they can't do shit. Watch it get dropped.
 
^ No, but you can sure as hell draw attention to yourself. He LET the cops into his home, therefore he can't object to the fact that they found shit in his house. He's just a dumb kid that got busted, deal with it. I seriously doubt that anything will get dropped. The cops will shout "plain sight" on the bag of coke, which will give them the right to search further. He's fucked, no matter how you want to look at it.

Anyways, he forgot the golden rule. Never consent to a search!
 
What that little bastard gets. Like seriously, the military needs to get out of iraq, and start killing the real terrorists. People like this. Gangs are a fucked up part of our society. Why is it that we are willing to go after supposed "terrorists" half the world away, while there are real terrorists right here in our cities? Someone please tell me. Kill em all!!
 
gang members are hardly terrorists compared to the terrorists we're fighting. I'm not going to indicate my opinions one way or another on iraq or anything like that, but just because gang members use violence regularly doesn't mean they're terrorists - it means they're criminals.

Think of a terrorist bombing a building to scare americans. Gang members may use bombs (not that the weapon choice matters much per se), but gang members largely just fight with other gangs. Yes, there's collateral damage (hurt cops, hurt by standers, etc), but generally gangs are only engaging in violence against other gangs that are composed of people who accept that and choose that as their way of life.

(I should note that I'm not trying to say I think we should ignore gangs or anything like that, just trying to explain why gangs are not 'the real terrorists'. I grew up in a heavy gang area, I wasn't afraid of gangs, because I wasn't affiliated with any. They fight amongst themselves, that's different than regularly attacking the general public).
 
Yeah, phan what the fuck are you talking about. I don't remember crips or bloods ever crashing planes into buildings or blowing up American interests world wide. Let me guess, you're probably 13 or a college student too, huh? Fits the profile.
 
They wouldn't have to do massive scale acts of terrorism to be terrorists. I recently argued with someone here about whether destroying a hummer (and writing stuff about the environment all over it) was an act of terrorism. That may be stretching 'terrorism', but gangs that have regular shootouts with other gangs, brawl with other gangs, and sell drugs, hardly constitute terrorists. I'm not supporting them or anything, it's just not terrorism.

But him calling gang members the "real terrorists" makes the scale important. As it is, gangs do not perform terrorist activities.
 
I got done pretty much the same way when I was younger.

I got caught with a fake ID and my real ID (I know, I'm stupid) after we got pulled over (we had a bag of pot down our pants, so it wasn't random). The fake ID was in my brothers name (who was in the car) and the police wanted to see his ID that was back at our house.

So they followed us back, we didn't invite them inside, when we opened the door, the officer stepped inside... and announced some police power "emergent drug search" or something along those lines. Basically "we suspect you have drugs on the property and since we're inside we can perform a quick search without a warrant".

Long story short, they found my brand new 3 foot bong :(
