I'm disconnected from myself
Life made my decisions for me
Wandered aimlessly to the brink
I won't be coming back from there
I'm disconnected from myself
Watching my reality unfold
Watching the shattering shards
Glass pieces staring back at me
I'm disconnected from myself
This i where im meant to be
FREE
Attached at leg and limb
Gravity
I'm connecting to myself
Clearest moment of realization
Life is but a dream
The future was forseen
I'm disconnecting from myself
I may just float away
I'll stay a while and take it day by day

Wrote this late at night....it sounds to me like something that belongs in the dark side haha, but fuck it i figured alot of us feel the same way sometimes.

rofl... that describes a perfect loop
sorry, it's just that i've been sitting here for like 20 minutes thinking about this piece and i realised that after 10 years of 'day by day', life will have made my decisions for me.

i like it, it's really made me think :)

I like the rhythm of this, and the fact that rhyme is used to suit, but not over-used.

To me it reads as a very strong and definite proclamation of existential doubt... if that makes sense?

that what i meant! well, kinda :) it's like an evolved problem, without showing evidence to prove the factors creating the problem exist... ehehe

i think i like it cause i know it relates to something most people don't understand, and i feel priviliged to understand it.

Disconnected from yourself inside yourself...

There is no self says Buddha, says Lao Tzu

Your words invoke the eternal illusion of duality:

Of Two seemingly conflicting forms (you and yourself)
which are actually balanced in unity

Past vs future - memory vs prediction
ultimately the self vs other dichotomy

The swirling spiral sides surrounding
our overwhelmed true self.

I love Muse's new album so far
- blackholes of the self and universal revelations of the universe
(not the actual title)
