Discolouration to aMT HCL

Bonjour!

I have a slight concern regarding my alpha-methytryptamine hcl salt. Upon weighing into gelcap and leaving for a day or two, it appears to have turned from the ash grey colour it once was to a tan brownish colour.

I assume this is due to air contact, oxygenation or something? I'm afraid I have little understanding of it and this has left me quite baffled.

I've been looking around for any information about aMT discolouration but seems to only return reports of freebase, not salt.

Any help would be massively appreciated.

My experience with aMT is limited to the freebase, but discoloration of tryptamines in general is fairly common and doesn't usually lead to any great loss of potency, and certainly nothing dangerous.

That's a relief, with little experience with aMT figured better to be safe and ask around.

Many thanks :)
