DISCO BISCUITS FANS!!! enter>>>>

i was more trying to make a thread about music than the scene. but that was an interesting read.

fuck you good sir obviously its different than any other biscuits show you've been to because its NOT the biscuits....and f.y.i chris is from RAQ. he's been playing with conspirator recently only because the biscuits have not been touring.

I think we can all agree that the disco biscuits have the shadiest following of any band.

went to camp bisco for the first time last year. Didn't even go for the biscuits but I enjoyed watching them. too bad when people like skrillex and rusko play (nothing against them, I like them both) it brings a crowd of annoying bros that kinda kill the vibe. Even worse than them though were the people dumbfounded that you would go to a music festival called "Bisco" for anything but the biscuits, literally like tearing me up because they were there to see bassnectar or shpongle instead of the disco biscuits.

that being said, I'm going to Camp Bisco 11 lol. well, depending on lineup of course

my name is PsyDoc and I've been raging the Biscuits since '08. my best bud has been only listening to this band since 2001. I love them. They touch my soul, bring me to tears, deconstruct my brain, and get me down. They can play sweet rapture, groovy funk, ambient bliss, and techno fire, all in the same song. I love them. The scene, well there's good stuff about it and bad. I've got so many friends that are into it, it puts up a nice buffer from all the people that aren't really so into the music. I will always love them no matter what happens in the coming year and into the future.

I did the three NYC shows. the opening set of the 26th sounded so promising with Resurrection, but that Aceetobee > U&I and Don abortion kinda scared me. But really, things just got better from there. I haven't listened to much of the Holidaze other than the second set on the 28th. But damn, the Morph > Spaga and Basis > Aceetobee > Basis, wow. Great stuff to ride the subway to.

Haven't seen Conspirator yet, ever. Not sure how I've managed that. Doesn't look like I'll have a chance to any time soon . . . or a choice.

Damn man, just relistened to that Spaga from Holidaze, with the sax player from Big Gigantic. Jeez, so smoky and seductive. Fucking-A.

i really like the basis set, i also really like the boop segment on the 29th. and yeah the spaga with the the sax player was awesome! they really stepped it up from new years run. the cyclone is pretty good too if you haven't checked that out yet

I take back my comments about hating bisco and all that "fuck bisco"; they are beginning to grow on me. I would love to give them another chance sometime this summer. I still don't like bisco kids.

some kids that follow the band are shady but that comes with any jamband following IMO...and yeah they are a bit of an acquired taste lol. what made you change your mind?

Camp Bisco last year banned any kind of nitrous.. well you know im sure some did get in but they are trying to keep the weird zombie/ nitrous mafia characters out, and keep the good vibes going. I'm sorry you saw that fucked up scene but any following of any group has there fuck ups. I LOVE the biscuits, i bought a ticket last year for my birthday and bought a plane ticket from alabama to ny then hitched a ride to the festie. Best experience of my life!!! Every following has their shady characters, been to any dubstep shows lately? holy shit! Camp Bisco 2012!

HAHAH dude the montgomery biscuits are like an hour from where i live! Alabama is sooo redneck we have a team called the biscuits hehe, funny things you just can't make up!!

by any chance are you bamabisco on PT? i just saw the handle in some random thread lol

so i just finished listening to all of Holidaze. Barber sounds really fucking good. Love the Boop and Robots from the 29th. Spraypaint from the 28th is the best its sounded in soooo long. Nice to hear them jam it again. And the whole Triumph > Wave > Spaga > Morph from the 27th is money. Best Waves I may have ever heard. I'm not sure. I was totally floored in the library though. I couldn't believe it. I might as well have been on drugs, I wouldn't have been smiling any harder.

I also relistened to 2007-06-27 Charlottesville, VA. Great set there too. Highwire > 711 > Waves > Spaga > Story. Tasty!

Alright, I'm gonna go back to the library and listen to the new Brothers Past Silk City show. That one they did back in 2010 was so killer. For those who don't know, straight electronic dance party, no BP songs. Very cool.

i loved that triumph segment too. you're talking about that BP show that was all improv earlier this week right? i haven't listened to much BP at all, idk why. what are some of their good shows?

i've only really listened to shows I've attended although these Silk City shows (which they bill as BPm...clever) are pretty fantastic. The first one on 2010/01/19 is amazing. Some regular BP shows that I was at and enjoy listening to are: 2009/09/06, 2011/10/15, 2011/12/28 (opening for TDB), and 2012/01/12 & 13.

I have listened to older BP but ultimately, the fact that i have memories tied up in these shows is what really brings me back to them. They're quality though. I have been enjoying them more and more without Biscuits shows to attend.
