Does anyone know if there is a way to discern the difference between MDA and a pill containing both MDMA and PMA using field-test reagents?
It seems that either Marquis or Mecke will react the same with MDA or the MDMA component of the mixed pill. Simon's reagent will confirm the MDA or MDMA, and "Robadope" will confirm a primary amine (MDA or PMA) exists.
Notwithstanding the general assumption that most people prefer MDMA to MDA, I can state for a fact that pills represented as MDA are being offered for sale in my area, and I'd like to be able to help people be as knowledgable about what they are thinking of taking as they can be.
While it is also impossible to discern MDMA from MDE, the dangers of a misidentification are minor, except that one might not obtain the effects desired from their pill. MDMA/PMA being a very dangerous combination, it therefore seems more important to be able to distinguish this from MDA if at all possible.
