Dirty Pictures: Documentary on the Shulgins

There is probably nothing I´m waiting for as much.... discovered it as "the shulgin project" a year ago and thought it was hopeless to wait for it after months with no change on the website.

ive never been and have no idea how much tickets will be.

Just hears that it wwwill be playing at the boston international film festival.
 
Oh wow - I will definitely get this on DVD, without a doubt - I haven't had much time to do a lot of reading on the Shulgins yet, this year is probably more likely as I'm a lot less restless - but from what I know, I'm very intrigued - the most wellknown chemist who sought the values of drugs in every which way - botanical, chemical makeup, entheogenic qualities - the whole shebang.

The trailer was nice :)
 
Wish i could have seen it but it was viewing while i was at the MAPS conference.
The preview didn't work at the dinner either.
How do i get it on DVD?
Can't wait for the next book to come out this year they said its not as sex, drugs and rock n roll as the last one but it will still be great i was thinking we would have to wait till the dreaded day he dies.
 
DIRTY PICTURES Shulgin doc New York premiere is Fri. June 11, 9:30p at BAM/Brooklyn Academy of Music. Tix avail. May 24.

for those wondering about the DVD:
A lot of you have been asking about when DIRTY PICTURES will be available on DVD, VOD, Digital Download and so on.

Having put 5 years into making DIRTY PICTURES, it’s gratifying to see how much people love the movie, and to realize that so many more of you want to hear Sasha and Ann’s amazing story.

We are working very hard to make that happen, both in theaters where it looks amazing, as well as in your own home where you can watch it as often as you want. While our schedule doesn’t have all the dates filled in, it should give you some idea of what to expect.

Following our March premiere at SXSW down in Austin, the film will be in other festivals: Boston, Telluride, Brooklyn and Sheffield (UK) are on the calendar now, with more to be announced in the near future. We are also considering theatrical screenings in select cities, as we recently did in San Jose.

After that, the plan is to make DIRTY PICTURES available to TV, VOD, digital, and of course, DVD. We have a lot of extra footage to put together for DVD extras, and it will take at least until Fall to get it ready.

Until then, we will keep you posted here, on our mailing list, Twitter, and so on, and you will hear every detail as soon as we do. We also plan to release bits of additional materials as they are ready.

We are glad to have you on board, and while it perhaps is not moving as fast as everyone would like, (can you say “instantly”?) we will get the film to you.

While the screening schedule hasn't been announced, we have confirmed that DIRTY PICTURES will be showing as part of the Sheffield Film Fest this November. We will keep you posted as this develops.

Its the first movement of Bach's cello suite 1 in G. I think that its the Yo Yo Ma recording, but I'm not certain. Beautiful stuff.

you're in the UK?? Cool dude! Assumed you were a citizen of the USA :p

Just about to watch the Q & A from the premiere again - as parts 2 & 3 are on youtube.

I love how Sasha talks about his work...really inspired. I miss chemistry, need to brush up.
