That was funny. The motivation of these first time one post posters is what I want to find out. Why go through all the trouble of joining the site then just saying one thing and that's it lol

I started a thread in the non drug related local discussion section about moving to North Jersey. If anyone could go check it and got some info to help me out I'd appreciate it.

Been off and on with a gorgeous Jersey girl for a while now. About to lock her down and get serious. In a couple months I plan on moving in with her and gonna be Going Hard In Dirty Jersey. Hanging up my players card and works. Ironic it's the home of the best dope in the country but it is what it is.

The northern half of the shore is mostly infested with New Yorkers, especially people from Long Island and Staten Island and is more geared toward the younger, party crowd, but if you head further south, it's much nicer. yea except for wildwood yo...Wildwood definately aint quite the family destination...I mean lots of families go there for sure but its the odd one out of the south south jerz shore towns. Wildwood is where all the ghetto folks from Philly and Camden go on vacation, and alot of hood folks from north jerz goes there too cuz its alot cheaper than seaside. Theres actually a decent amount of bloods in wildwood sellin dope and weed and shit like that. The town itself, theres parts that they tryna make all nice, like the way the knocked down all those old motels to make bigass condos and apartments and shit, but when you go up by north wildwood especially, theres some areas gettin a little ran down.

Aint nothin like a real hood, but ive heard folks that aint seen much real ghettoness call wildwood "seedy" and shit like that. compared to AC it aint nothin like that, but wildwood got its own spirit, ...It used to be THE spot, alot lijke asbury park in the early part of the 1900s, til the early 60s and they built all these motels, nowadays most of em is gone but the ones that is left is all ran down...Just blocks n blocks of all these different motels, each one with its own theme and color scheme and shit...each year when I go down the shore n look theres less and less, but its still awesome. I like it way better becuz of the vibe there, all these kinda dilapidated little beach motels with names that are tryna make you feel like you in florida or hawaii and not new jersey...some of them go for the exotic theme like the Shalimar and Aladdin, and some seem to be aimin for a Vegas vibe...but every one is definately original thats for sure. aint nothin like the bland ass boring condos and days inns and shit that they got in most other shore towns these days.

(some of these are gone now, but some are still there....just sharin some of the hotels/signs that make wildwood wat it is)

(the Kona Kai, Wakiki, and Ala Kai are 3 of Wildwoods "Hawaiian" hotels, there was also the Hialeah and the Hawaii Kai, but they demolished now :(, oh yea also the Royal Hawaiian, there was prolly more but thats the ones I can think of. The Wakiki is covered with black lava rocks and has the polynesian mask/totem pole type things, fake palm trees, and thatched/straw roof type awnings to make it look like a "jungle hut" i guess, lol...)

Well, Ima stop postin pics now cuz theres a 25 image limit and i dont want this post to take forever to load....But wildwood is special, it aint like seaside or no other towns down the shore IMO....I love the mix of 50's optimism in all the bright colored motels and signs, each one is unique, mixed with the slightly seedy atmosphere of everything bein kinda ran down, and the boardwalk where you can get more than one kind of drugs...The way its just ever so slightly a lil bit ghetto, mixed with the shore town vibe and bright lights and everything, its just a great place, I love wildwood and its my absolute favorite place to go in the summer...

Honestly, I been to LBI and thought it was boring as FUCK...Maybe I was missin somethin, but it seemed suuuuuper "family oriented" there. it was the lamest 'down the shore' destination I ever been, even lamer than Ocean City which is snooty as fuck and no alcohol allowed.

Anyways...LOL...my post about how wildwood aint one of the neat and tidy " family" shore towns ended up bein a whole story about its history and how much i love it, haha...But anyways....Enjoy the pics yall...:)

seaside is sleazy but wildwood is straight up trashy. and its all the fuckin way down the parkway. i guess it depends what you go to the shore for but if its to actually spend time on the beach, i go to sandy hook or lbi. and if its too party..., well i dont go to the beach to party i can do that around here lol
 
^^I dont think its trashy at all....And the beaches there are beautiful. I really dont like any of the shore towns north of atlantic city--all the beaches drop off quick as hell. I love the shore in wildwood cuz it gradually drops off maddd slow. When the tide is in, you can walk so far out, like a half mile out, and still barely be in up to your stomach. Its awesome, and the water is sooo clean. down in wildwood crest, theres a lagoon on the beach, i forget wat street # beach it is but its the one near the alakai motel, by toledo ave. Theres a sandbar so when u go when the tide is out and on its way in, theres a lagoon, about 4-4.5 feet deep, that is seperated from the rest of the water and it sits in the sun all day so its like bath water. Its pretty long, it goes for a long stretch of the beach, and then u got the sandbar and thats where the actual part where the waves come in starts. Its awesome if u go early in the morning, its full of hermit crabs. When me and my cousin was kids we would go in there and swim and take the crabs as pets then let them out later in the day....

Its the nicest beach I ever been to, as far as I can remember. It gets a bad rap. It aint a super clean, whitewashed gentrified "family" town, but it aint a trashy shithole at all, by no means. I can see sayin that about AC for sure, but not wildwood. Theres alot there that people dont know about/think about when they think of wildwood. U can think of the boardwalk and everybody on it, but I like to think of the beautiful beaches, and how peaceful I always feel when I go there. Plus its beautiful in the morning/evening when the sun goes down....Wildwood is the "happy place" that i think of in my mind when I want to just calm down and get rid of the stress....I never thought of it as trashy, but i guess u got higher standards than me or somethin ,lol. I never had the luxury of bein out of the country or really out of the state all to much neither. I never been to florida, california, the carribean, or none of those places that it seems like everydamnbody and their mama just goes to all the time these days. It seems like the whole world just jumps on a cruise every summer and goin to jamaica or somethin like that is common nowadays. But like i said, I never even been to florida, i never seen the shore other than the jersey shore, and to me its beautiful and im perfectly satisfied with it, so call me un cultured if u wanna but Im happy with the jersey shore as my fav. vacation spot. The only one, really,lol. When I grew up, goin on vacation at all was lucky. If we made it down to wildwood and stayed in a motel for 2 nights, that was some serious livin large type shit. I guess i still see it that way, you know?
 
Wildwood has the best boardwalk out of all the Jersey Shore Spots.... It also has the longest walk from the boardwalk to the beach.... Man i recall being a kid and just looking and seeing nothing but sand for as far as the eye could see.... than after what feels like 15-20min hike you hit the beach..... man after the hike all i can think of was get in the mother fucking water, i was a chubby kid that shit was a killer
 
Haha yea all this Wildwood talk is getting me nostalgic. My family used to go down there and AC, never LBI or Seaside or anything. I have lots of memories of Wildwood as a kid and even older. Seems Wildwood is a big place for high schoolers to go after their prom, since it's less crowded than Seaside. I know my high school did that. We rented a whole motel out, 5 stories of nothing but everyone from my high school just partying for 4 days. It was awesome. The boardwalk on AC is cool, but it's all about the casinos and shopping, in Wildwood its about the fun and food and rides and shit. Way more kid friendly. WATCH THE TRAM CAR PLEASE.
