Benzos Diropam equivalent in the USA

A friend of mine who lives in Vietnam has questions about a medication called Diropam in Vietnam. Does this drug have an American equivalent? I'm thinking it's possible that this is Diazepam?
 
A google search indicates that diropam is a Vietnamese branded version of the anti-inflammatory drub meloxicam, which is something you generally don't want to take. Here in the US meloxicam is used at a particularly high rate in veterinary medicine to treat arthritic pain.
