Diphenhydramine?

I noticed i have quite a few products that contain Diphenhydramine as their only active ingredient. One are instant melt pills for Sleeping (?) [only four left] that each contains 25mg. Another is childrens benydrl [not the adult, real stuff] that contains 12.5 in a teaspoon. Is Diphenhydramine safe to take if its the only ACTIVE ingredient? Is it ok to mix them because I dont have enough of one to do anything. How much should i take? [im only 110 pounds]. Thanks!

BTW i want to try this because i hear its similar to dimehydrinate which i hear makes you trip out like CRAZY. thanks alot

it's safe to take on it's own.

in higher doses it becomes a deleriant, not my cup of tea but if you're into that more power to you:\

go to erowid and check out some of the trip reports on it to grasp an idea of what it's like. there are even a few trip reports in the TR forum here on bluelight as well, i think.
 
I know someone who knows someone who knows a bunch of kids who swear benedryl makes you trip like acid. Of course, kids are stupid on the whole and should not be taken seriously.

With that useless bit of information shared I will warn you that benedryl is pretty damned uncomfortable and on all the few occaisions I've done it, it's left me only with a weird uncomfortable "internal" feeling and an obsession to stare at mirrors, sometimes seeing the mirror "flicker and fade" a bit. Nothing exciting, especially when you've got weird vibes coursing through your body.


IMO and IME benedryl and sedative antihistamines in general are only good for opiate potentiation.
 
Mixing them as well? And, I took 20 Gel Robo pills (DXM) for my first time about a month ago and threw up all night. will it happen again with this stuff? My friend says I took too much for my weight & first time.

edit: internal pains from DXM made me vomit. On DXM i felt dizzy like i spun around 50x. & if its like acid, shhwweeet!

if dph is the only active ingredient then you can mix them.

i am really insisting you think twice about taking diphenhydramine recreationally. it is not very fun at all. i took a little too much of it one time and done some pretty stupid and reckless shit with only a fragment of a memory.

reading the reports on erowid was enough for me to not want to take it to get "high"
 
barfing will really be the least of you problem when you trip on benedryl.

I would say this is one of those like nutmeg--99% of people hate it, but there is 1% who like the crazy.

IMO, those people are just crazy in general tho ;)

edit: what is harsher on your stomach? liquid or pill? Remember, for me, vomit is a no-no

i think vomiting is the least of your worries if you're going to be walking around delerious on dph. i think your parents will know something is up when you're having a conversation with the lamp.

as far as i know dph won't make you spew.

Look man unless you wanted to be completely retarded (and not in a good way, like in a IQ of 25 way) I would not suggest taking Diphenhydramine. I think most everyone hears about this garbage when they are young and tries taking benadryl to hallucinate.

The effects would be comparable to having an extremely high fever and being completely delusional. You will hallucinate, but you will feel like absolute shit. You will experience complete dry mouth, inability to perspirate (making you feel hot), a sense of inner restlessness, extreme dizziness, and you will feel extremely tired. You probably won't be able to sleep if youve taken enough.

Also if you are trying to hide this from your parents, good luck. All they would need to do is take a look at you and they would know something is up. If you had to talk to them, they would probably take you to the hospital because you would be babbling nonsense and basically be incapable of conversation.
 
the only good things it can be used for is opiate potentiation or knocking you out (~150mg) if you cant sleep or your having a bad trip.

but hey if you take it above 300 mg you better lock yourself in your room with a couple buds and a benzo or two
 
Me and my friend P took like 16 benadryl pills all in my car before going to the hookah bar. When we all got seated and the hookah started 'smokin, the effects hadd kicked in. They kicked in hard. It was hard to walk, focus on people's eyes, talk, or do anything. it was total delirium, exactly what taking diphenhydramine does to u. when i went and took a piss I saw a cop talking to a dude in the alley and i was walking all wobbly and shit. I could of gotten a 'public intoxication' ticket *knock on wood* but luckily i didn't. man i'm barred out and high. weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
 
I love the shit. I've never been more scared and frustrated in my life. For some reason, that's a really cool experience to me.

The hallucinations are completely lifelike and believable.. sort of like those crazy fevers I'd get as a kid. It's really lucid. You could see something completely insignificant in front of you, like your cellphone, go to pick it up and it's not there. You can have long phone conversations without ever picking up the phone.

If you decide to do it, just know it's not a "good trip." And the hangover SUCKS. But there's still something that I find enjoyable about the whole thing. One of my favorite drugs, as retarded as it sounds that I'd rather go to walgreens and get a box of benadryl than hit up my coworker for some oxycodone.. cheap, too :)

don't take recreational doses while drinking.. the body high isn't so different from being drunk (also I hear they potentiate eachother? don't know how true that is), and the hallucinations seem completely real, so you might not realize when you're good and do 1600mg diphenhydramine before you realize it like I did one time (probably did some serious damage)
