I just found an old bottle of 7 1/2 8mg Abbott labs hydromorphone under my bed. They were prescribed to me and can't believe I didn't notice them missing. The pharmacy print date was 12/29/05. And I remember them having to order the 8's for me. You reckon there any good??? You know I will try but I had some new one's recently and with my 160mg 3x aday of oxy and 10 mg 3x aday of methadone and 30 mg roxy for break-thru. 16mg of the new ones had little effect, but I thought since these were older they may be cold shake style and I could fit 3.. Am I just wasting my time???

If they've been stored in room temperature, away from excess heat, light and humidity, they should still have all of their potency.

In terms of harm reduction, take it slow, since they should be as good as new. Sounds like a lot of heavy opiates, be careful man.

Why are you taking oxy 160mg 3x a day ~and~ methadone 10mg 3x a day. That makes no sense whatsoever, I mean if your talking oc 160's, then yeah, believe it or not, 160mg oxycodone TIME RELEASE is no stronger than 30mgMethadone, as 160mg time release = approximately 60-70mg oxycodone IR, that lasts 2-3x as long, but spacing the methadone out doesn't make sense, nor does taking 480mg oxy a day, with Roxi's for breakthrough and methadone for god-knows-why. Was that a typo on your part, and if not, would you mind explaining your regimen to me, because it makes no sense at all, and quite frankly I can't believe a doctor actually prescribed those specific doses.

And BTW, opiates are known for keeping potency a ridiculously long time. I dunno about the synthetics, but I have taken plenty of drugs past the expiration date, and as long as they we're still in the bottle, they have always felt 100% potent.
