Opioids Dilaudid vs Opana withdrawal

So I'm trying to decide on getting Opana or Dilaudid I may. Now the question is concerning the relative withdrawals.

The main thing holding me back from Opana is that the withdrawal is sooo fucking harsh, and quite long too. I'm not even dependent, and after Opana (nasal) I experience what I call 'chipper WD'. It is an abbreviated version (or a slight 'taste' of full blown withdrawal.

The symptoms are anxiety, severe depression, slight 'chills' (similar to flu sickness), need to sleep longer, lethargy, body aches. I use a variety of opiates regularly of opiates and have never had this problem with anything but Opana. However, I have NOT tried Dilaudid which prompts this post.

Now Hydromorphone and oxymorphone are chemically very similar. In your opinion which withdrawal do you find most unpleasant between the 2?

Here's some (suggested) ideas of symptoms to consider as comparison...

symptom | Hydromorphone |Oxymorphone

A) Length of physical
withdrawal symtoms
B) Length of mental hdrawal
withdrawal symptoms
C) depression | |
D) anxiety
E) chills
F) Lethargy (laziness)
G) body/head aches
H) nausea
I) other

You don't have to keep it in table form or anything, just make sure you convey which one is worse in each symptom you list. You can use a 1-10 scale or just use descriptive words. Include your typical dose, frequency of use, and method of administration.

[TL ; DR] = Which is worse between Dilaudid and Opana withdrawal specifically? .

I have taken both and can say that the withdrawal from Opana BY FAR sucked way worse than dilaudid. Both of these I took intranasally.

Opana produced almost instant full terrible withdrawal, even just between doses. I was taking 20 mg ERs and 10 mg IRs.. Full out opana withdrawal was the worst nightmare of my life.

Not the same for me and dilaudid. I usually take about 8 mgs of dilaudid insufflated. My refill is not due until the 10th of July, and to be honest, I am not suffering badly at all, I am cool waiting until the 10 th.

I don't know if different ROAs make withdrawal feelings different, I would go for IV dilaudid any day (only have gotten it in hospital)

I vote for dilaudid. Opana was a killer in length and strength of withdrawal, sweats, chills, headache and just over all feeling like s@$t!

Havent tried neither but would like to in the future. Also, with the DEA sticking their noses in everything, we might have a hard time snorting these in the near future.

Never had Opana withdrawal but I can say with certainty that heroin and oxycodone both have worse withdrawals than hydromorphone.

Interestingly, I was in much rougher shape after getting off the Hydromorph Contin than I ever was with Dilaudid w/d. Maybe because the dillies had so much filler I wasn't actually getting as much when I snorted them. Hydromorph seemed to "hit" way better.

Dilaudid has a short half-life (and a big rush when banged), because it's so soluble and metabolically liable. Which would make me say Dilaudid would have easier withdrawal if insufflated; however if you're keeping a habit up with just Dilaudid (if you could afford such a thing) I could imagine the withdrawals being horrible; this would be redosing at very least more than four times a day I'd estimate.
