wondering if anyone has any input on this - after 4 months of IV use of H (8 to 10 doses per day) the decision was made to get off H, and back to long term oxycodone 5mg 4x daily. Refusing to cop H, decided to aquire 15 (8mg) Dilaudid. The needle ritual continued to call, so broke them down with micro filter and IV'd 2 pills a day for a few days, then 1 a day until they were gone (about one week). I understand pills and IV are not good together, but thats what went down. After the week ended I expected severe WD, the H is medium quality, and waited to get sick. Experienced almost no WD symptoms, except for trouble falling asleep which was easily remedied by cough medicine. Waited a few more days and nothing. 5 to 10 mg oxycodone per day has kept WD away, even giving the brightened mood one might expect. 2 weeks later and still the oxy is working fine to ward off WD.
Has anyone had a similar experience, or have any insight as to how this would work out? The Dilaudid was very salty/acidic feeling and often made me want to sleep, which leads me to believe it effects brain receptors differently, almost like scrubbing the plaque out, but I have no way of supporting that thought.
Anyone at all have any insight or even guess as to how or why that just happened?
Thanks for any input on the matter.
