dilaudid questions!

Ha alrighty will do. I have one more question, maybe you can answer it. so a few years back i had drank quite a bit of codeine, i couldnt tell you how much but the bottle was kinda big and i drank about half of it. and earlier that day i had taken a zantac for heartburn. I ended up with hives all over my body and a very swollen face and a nice ER visit. which is weird cuz im not allergic to opiates and its pretty rare to be allergic to zantac considering its an antihistamine. do you think that mixing the opiates with the antihistamine caused an super-histamine effect?

YEP that sounds like an allergic reaction to the Zantac (Ranitidine), thats exactly what happens. I doubt the codeine would have done it since you took the antihistamine...(even though you had an allergic reaction the zantac was still in your body)

ok thanks man. ive ALWAYS wondered what the hell had gone wrong hahaha. well im getting off. peace! ill hit you up if i have any Q's.

I am a Dilaudid addict. I have been using 16mgs three times a day for several years. Of course, I started out on the fours but it didn't take me long to graduate to the eights. When I was using them intravenously very often I would run out and have to use Roxycodone until I got my new prescription.
I am not trying to sound all hard-core here, but if you have been using the eights for some time and are accustomed to using them two at a time, I would go ahead and do two.
One just ain't going to do it for you, baby. Two is going to be just right, nice nod, nice little eyelid cartoons, and if you have a Xanax to take with them, all the better. I know that there are times when I have to have three eights to really get where I wanna go, but definitely I need at least two. One is just a tease, even if you have not done any for three weeks. I know whereof I speak, having been taking Dilaudid for over ten years now and one is simply NOT ENOUGH - NO MATTER WHAT THE SITUATION OR HOW LONG IT'S BEEN.
You definitely are not going to overdose, if that is your concern. Your body is accustomed to two, and it's going to need two to take you where you are intending to go. Happy trails!

Uh, DelRi0, just wanted to add that I got hives from Tylenol 4s several years ago.
It isn't at all that rare, either. Some people just can't tolerate codeine, and I am one of those people. I have gotten hives and once my hands swelled up so badly I looked all cartoony and thought they were going to explode. The person with whom I had done the Tylenol 4s was an addict, and told me not to freak; that he had seen this type of reaction before and that I would be ok. It took a bit of time before I was ok, but I am glad now that I didn't go to the hospital because who needs THAT on their record? They will list you as a 'drug seeker' and if ever you find youself in the hospital in severe pain, they won't give you anything but anti-inflammatories, regardless of the severity of your pain. I have a friend to whom that happened, and if I ever am in the hospital and need pain meds (and I will, because I don't carry my Dillies with me and I wouldn't care to not only be in severe pain, but have to go through withdrawal on top of it?) No, no no!
In my opinion, you had an allergic reaction to the codeine. Of course, it's an opinion, I'm not a doctor (hehe) but I have also heard of others having this kind of reaction before, too. Be careful; codeine is different than other opiates in that a lot of people have freaky side effects from it. Of course, I have graduated onto bigger things, but no matter what I would NEVER ingest codeine again.

Hey, I have a question about Roxycodone and I haven't been here in ages.
Where do I go to post my question? Can I just ask it here? You seem like a crowd that would probably know the answer to my query.... ; )

hey toobadgrrl,

you actually get to start your own thread. more attention to your question and it makes it much easier for future searchers to find information.
