Opioids Dilaudid Question(s)

So I've recently acquired a small supply of Mallinckrodt 4mg hydromorphone pills... (M/4)

I've tried eating them, snorting them, and plugging them, and I really wasn't very impressed with any of those methods of ingestion, but then again, I do have a pretty big hydrocodone tolerance.

From what I understand, IV'ing is really the only way to get anything out of these things, yes? I've got some needles, syringes, micron filters, and alcohol swabs on the way, and I've got one dilly left.

Is there anything important I should know about this particular brand of dilaudid before shooting it?

Or will I even get anything out of shooting it with my large hydrocodone tolerance (80-120mg~/day)? This will the first time I've ever IV'd anything, but I like to think I have a good idea of what I'm doing... No lectures please, I'm fully aware that this will probably fuck me over, and that my only saving grace is that I only have one left... I'm already pretty far gone anyway.

In my own experience brand didnt matter but 4mg wasnt enough for me to get that bang I was looking for. I started doing 8mgs at a time and I loved it. Problem was that I got a tolerance to them FAST and had to do 12mgs and eventually 16mgs at a time. Now this is what worked for ME-your experience could differ. I IV everything I can and no lectures but its a steep slope. Im addicted to the needle itself now. Even if im feeling good I think I need to stick myself to really feel good. My veins arent all gone yet but there are areas that will never recover. Infection and abcesses are a real risk. Ive had one removed and the pain was EXTREME. So if you are going to IV it read, read, read on how to do it so you dont hit an artery or miss your vein. Capt Heroin has a great how to with the micron filters. Hope this helped some.

My mom is RX'd to the 2mg. When my dad passed away he actually had a whole script of them as well. I always am cautious with pills I never tried before. I did 1 (2mg) felt nothing...did another....nothing. A long story short it took me 5 or 6 to feel anything. They are good for withdrawl tho.

If you are getting micron filters,and you can save that 4 milligram dilly until it gets there,I dont see why it would be extremely dangerous.As long as you don't make a huge habit of shooting.(hopefully not if you only try 4 mg's of dilaudid one time).Plus I imagine you are already physically addicted to opioids,but the needle always seem to make things worse.

That said,just follow a guide to micron filtering here on bluelight to prepare the solution.With the tolerance I had just before I went on methadone.I would do typically 12-24 mg's per shot,and both these doses gave me a big rush.(24 mg was obviously stronger).But if all you take is hydrocodone,I bet you will feel something from 4 mg's of dilaudid when IV'd...I've done a 4 mg shot when I was in withdrawal from shooting like 300 mg's of morphine per day and I felt it and it killed the sickness completely.

As a comparison to other opiates/opioids in my experience are like this:

12 mg IV Dilaudid= ~100 mg's IV morphine.

So 4 mg's IV'd would be like ~33.33 mg's of morphine IV'd,and with the tolerance you described,I don't think it will be mind blowing,but you will feel it for sure.

Ofcourse that is just my own personal conversion from extensive experience in the IV use of both drugs.

The syringes are 5cc, about how much water should I use for that one pill? I think I'm gonna let my tolerance go down a bit before I do this...

^ I know those are probably way too big, but it was the smallest this particular site had with the luer lok... They should be arriving today. Good thing too, woke up at 5 this morning, legs on fire, runny nose, the works... Tramadol and loperamide barely keeping it at bay. Heh... I'm starting to think I actually enjoy this miserable little cycle...

if you got a 5cc syring i would hate to know what gauge it is.

the mass opinion is that, yes its pointless to do anything but IV dilaudid.

if you are not farmiliar with IV then i would advise against it but seeing as how you are most likely going to try anything i would use around 40 units of water per pill. the m4s are FILLED with talc and it difficult to pull up a large some of pills through a cotton with so much bullshit in them. i am not farmiliar with micron filters so im not sure how much easier it would make it. This goes cmpletely against Harm Reduction but when i get m4s i usually put 3 in a spoon and use 110-120 units of water and heat until some of the shit dissapates (YES I ALREADY SAID ITS AGAINST HARM REDUCTION) pull up into the syring and blast off. i dont suggest it, but alot of people simply arent going to take the time to seek micron filters etc.

as someone else said...once you feel that rush you will never return to any other ROA. again I DO NOT ADVISE YOU GO TO IV IF YOU ARE NOT FARMILIAR WITH IT. i cant imagine the pain and complications that comes with missing an m4....or 2.....or 3....

^ They're 30g 1/2" luer lock needles, and I'd be using .9% sterile saline instead of water... If I chicken out of/can't get the IV to work right, or if the pill won't dissolve like I'm hoping, then I'll just shoot it up my arse or something.

I like to think even if I do get a huge rush out of it, I'm too chicken shit to keep shoving something sharp into the mainline, but those are probably someone's famous last words... I've always preferred just swallowing pills even if something works better, I have a strange attraction to pills...

you may get a small rush but it won't be what your looking for you would want to do about 8 to 16mg for a good rush

I can kinda feel it after plugging it, even after it was filtered, so I guess it wasn't a total loss... Just pissed I've been sitting here sick all day waiting for the mailman for nothing...
