Opioids dilaudid-confused

So I saw my doc today and switched from morphine to dilaudid. I got 50 4 mgs. I do have a high Tolly n started out with 8 mg and tbh I didn't feel that rush that I usually do with dilly I found it really odd. So I did a 12 mg shot and the same thing. I got high but would compare it to an oxy high no lovely dilly rush. These are the m on one side 4 on the the other is my tolly really that large usually I'm dece off a 120 shot of Morphine. Please BL any ideas I'm really disappointed.
 
It will be a very short-lived high especially since you now have a tolerance. The bioavailability of Dilaudid, IMO&IME is horrible intranasally and orally. I would try to switch from Dilaudid to Opana if I were you.
 
I iv and not long ago I was getting lit off of it. I love the dilly rush. I got a little something off 24 mg shot today. I just got a weeks worth till my pain management appt with a new doc next week. I'm planning on talking to her about opana but my fear is I'll get something I can't iv and I have a severe needle fetish by this point. I'm so disappointed with these fillys I hope in the morning when I fix I'll get off as I usually do with the first of the morning. I'm probably going to up it to a 28-32 shot and see where that gets me. Damn I should not have a tolerance this large for opiates at 19. I really did fuck up.

Anyways keep that tolerance down low man! You DONT want a massive opioid tolerance at 19, especially if you have Chronic pain! Shooting D's and Opana's is a bad route, I know the rush feels SOOOO good but its not worth it. Just curious did she put you on generic immediate release Dilaudid or Exalgo (Hydromorphone Extended Release)? I Know Exalgo pretty much has no rush compared to immediate release Hydromorphone...I was on 16-24mg of Exalgo a day and all I got was sedation with no euphoria...I did the complex process of breaking it down to get it to be immediate release and did that for breakthrough pain and it felt just like regular Dilaudid though...I would NOT recommend injecting Exalgo above all though...too much binders and crap in that pill!
 
I'm on the generic immediate release the mallikoct(sp?). And that explains it I was lookin forward to ur reply I'll empty it. And I didn't figure my tolly would be that high lol.

From the circles I ran with before booting dillies was strange. I'd get rocked by shooting 4-8mg early on (1/2g daily h habit) and could shoot about 16-20mg of dilaudid and get rocked when I was at about 2g a day h. Even at the height of my h addiction, an 8mg dilaudid shot still gave me a rush but it was sharp and short. I know people who never got the dilaudid rush and higher dilaudid doses and a lower h tolerance than me. All of us just crushed, added water, stirred, filtered, and shot. No heat.
 
Your tolerance is probably just a lot higher than you think it is. It's happen to me as well, where in the past I was able to shoot dilaudid, not even that much, and get totally rocked, a really strong freight train of a rush. But after I took a break from the dillies and tried to use them again after having a really large H habit, even double my normal dose didn't give me the same rush.

Just something that happens.

^This. It's going to vary from person to person of course, but the opioid converter I looked at said that 120mg of IV morphine should be around 18mg of IV hydromorphone. Don't automatically assume you need that much and shoot 18mg though (and you may not have complete cross tolerance). Just trying to explain that it makes sense that 8mg of hydromorphone may not be enough considering you normally IV 120mg morphine.
 
Well today I did a 24 mg shot and got a little something then later on I did 60 mg of morph n 12 of dilly and got off pretty decent. I guess my tolerance is a lot higher than I thought.
 
I'm not unfortunately I have no idea where to get one and am broke financially I do filter it many many times with the small cottons u find at most needle exchange. Its usually a pretty clean solution and I do the best j can with what I have. I do agree when I get paid that would be a very smart investment.
 
Not that this will really help in your situation but in my experience I used to develop a rapid tolerance to dillies. When I first started them around your age I thought they were the cats pajamas and could get along fine with 4-8mgs, then 16-24mgs. But this was over a long period of time and tolerance is expected with any opiate. Continued to love them on and off when I wasn't getting H. Then a couple of years ago after being clean for a couple other years I got to getting dils again. I noticed that in the span of like a week and a half my tolerance went from being able to feel a rush from 4mgs to not being able to feel hardly anything from 4 or 5 k8s. With H I'd have a tolerance build up obviously but I never experienced such a steep incline in such a short amount of time. It got to the point where Iving them for the rush became impossible, even though I could still maintain and nod on H. Not sure if there is any scientific basis in this rapid tolerance development to dilaudid but I've experienced it too.
