Bupe Dilaudid after *IV* Subutex

First off, long time no see BL family! I see there's a lot of New members and it warms my soul to always see consistent HR help offered here as opposed to *ahem* other forums that in my lurking domore ddamage than anything. However, I digress...

Many of you may remember my story. C Spine Osteomyelitis due to heavy, poorly filtered IV oxycodone usage for years. Learned the hard way as now I am a legitimate CPP for life after extensive damage to my C4/5/6. I'm now Rx'd 8mg Dilaudid. I took a little break on accident. My gf had left my bottle locked in the car and taken her keys to the casino with her all night. This was two days ago.

~36hrs ago I sublingually took 4mg Subutex
~ 12hrs ago I IVd another 2mg Subutex

I'm thinking at the 48hr mark for the SL 4mg and the 24hr mark for the IVd 2mg I should feel only very slightly diminished effects from 4-8mg dose of IV Dilaudid. Am I wrong?

I can already feel the IV bupe beginning to wear off. What is the half-life for IV subutex? Keep hearing different reports.

The half life for bupe is the same no matter what route you take it by, but is variable among different people due to e.g. differing levels of liver enzymes, differing elimination from the kidneys etc.

It's best to wait until you are basically in W/D or right on the edge to get the most out of your other opioids. Probably give it another 6-12 hours before you IV?

Glad you're doing, alright man. Hope you're micron filtering that shit now. You can't afford to take anymore chances.

2mg IV bupe is a pretty high dose.. but, if you're saying you are already feeling it ware off, then you're probably pretty good. Like Sekio said, if you wanna be sure, wait until you begin to feel withdrawal. Then you'll know.
