Opioids Dihydrocodeine IV/IM advice

Hi,
I am an experienced oral drug user.
Amphetamine, methampehtamine, methcathinone, MDMA (and MDA/MDEA), LSD, 2-CB, Cocaine and Ketamine.
In regard to opiates, I have taken codeine and dihydrocodeine orally and smoked diacetylmorphine powder (medical, from ampules).
I also smoke cannabis and have tried mephedrone.

Recently, I have thought about having my first IV/IM opiate experience and have access to an ammount of dihydrocodeine tablets (for oral use). I have a friend who has experience of IV heroin use whom I am considering as a buddy for this run.

Can anyone give me advice on how I should shoot my 30mg DHC tablets, dosages, preperation etc?

Don't IM pills. Very, very unsafe and could easily lead to an abscess. And don't shoot dihydrocodeine.....Start with something like morphine (IR) if possible.....maybe 2mg of hydromorphone if available.

Sorry for my naivety, but thanks for the direct advice.
How about water extracting the pills down? Or am I just best to neck them?

You should not IV DHC full stop, in much the same way that codeine shouldn't be taken IV.

There are many varieties of DHC. What is it? Continus? If so, this is not appropriate for anyone's 'first and only i.v. time'. If you had it in powder, you could i.m. fine but if you had, you'd know that, right?

EDIT: I haven't found (quick search, whatever) any DHC product dihydrocodeine-only that isn't controlled-release. So it's a definitely no-no.

The only form of OTC DHC here in the UK isn't controlled-release.

Slamming or injecting hydrocodone could kill you due to all the apap acetaminaefn. Try morpine

Do not inject DHC , it carries the same risk as does injecting codeine of pulmonary edema. DO NOT DO IT.

I meant trade name not chemical abbreviation of dihydrocodeine. I know there's some OTC medicine in the UK with dihydrocodeine but I thought it's combined with paracetamol or something else (at least I know immigrants from my country did CWE before ingestion, I wasn't interested in trade name then). So, again in the name of harm reduction I must say extraction and filtration doesn't mean it's alright to i.m. it (but dihydrocodeine definitely may be i.m.'ed just as codeine if there are no signs of massive histamine release, actually at some point I used it as an advantage to get veins more visible before the right injection...).
