Since I have been on bup/subutex for almost 7 years am planning on going on a short acting opiate, so I want to know which one will be better, instant release or extended release?....Perhaps ER because it will hold me longer the bup half life is long? doesn't IR bring on more withdrawal and quicker too? so if am in the midst of bup withdrawals then IR withdrawals will make it worse?

Also does ER dihydrocodeine give you a high? does it last longer then IR? can you taper off the ER DHC? is it hard to taper off the IR DHC?

any opinions and experiences welcome.

Thank you.
