Differentiating between cocaine and ket

Whats up bluelight, if you were given a bag of white powder which was either ket or cocaine, how would you figure out which one it was without ingesting it?

Even though the answer is cliché by now, without getting it tested or having access to lab equipment, there's no reliable way to identify random powders. Unless you have pure, uncut medical grade samples (which is almost never gonna happen on the streets) I'm almost certain you wouldn't even be able to compare the melting points of each substance accurately, even if you had access to the proper equipment and knew for certain that it was either ketamine or cocaine.

Because it would be dangerous to even speculate over the internet and there aren't reliable ways to identify chemicals without testing them, bluelight prohibts threads of this nature and all anyone can tell you to test your sample. If the person who gave you this powder doesn't know exactly what it is they gave you, best to not even go there. If it was just simple miscommunication with the dealer then ask him. Even then you would save a ton of future headaches picking up a cheap reagent set.
