Differentiate Indica and Sativa strains

Hey all, this might seem like a stupid questions to some, but I hear and read a lot about sativa and indica, but i'm wondering what I am getting!

Is there any physical differences between Indica and Sativa that could indicate me what kind it is? Like a very light green will more likely be sativa (just an example).

I know you can differentiate them with the type of high you get, but just wondering except from that. I think i'm getting indica, but would like a weed that gives me more energy to do my daily stuff and etc.

So in conclusion : Is there anyway you can know if your weed is Indica or Sativa physically? Or do you have to know what strain you are getting to say what it is?

Sativa's are more energetic, get up and do stuff kind of strains, whereas Indicas tend to lean toward the couchlock side.
aka mygodimsofuckinstonedicantmoveofthisdamncouch type high.

Sativa's are usually more smaller, airy, leafy buds, and indicas tend to be more dense, and fat buds.

Sativa's tend to be lighter in colour while indicas tend to be darker

Indica=very intense body high/couch-lock high. Like when you get glued to the chair and get intense munchies yet don't want to move to get up to get food.

Sativa=very intense energetic high, can be psychedelic if you're wired for it.

Mostly I've gotten a mixture of the two and it's either more Indica or in rare times Sativa dominant and while I did get some pure Indica herb before I usually never got a pure Sativa strain except for a few times.

I've also noticed what Sega wrote about how Indicas are darker.

YMMV this has just been my experience.

i had some great sativa thai bud ages ago.
was reeeeeally dark greenish brown, and put me on my fuckin ass for the night

Damn i've been reading about Thai Sativa. I just have this feeling it is the perfect energetic trippie high ... just what i'm looking for.

The thing about Sativa is you nerer really get to smoke it as most indoor growers are growing small Indica plants as they are half the size of a Sativa.
