The following Kits are all the same reagent (Marquis Reagent):
- Chemical Generation (E1 Kit)
- DanceSafe
- EZ-Test
- Green Party (UK)
Marquis Reagent is used to detect the presence/absence of the following:
- MDMA/MDEA/MDA
- Amphetamine/Methamphetamine
- 2C-B
- DXM
- Opiates (keep in mind that not all opiates are effective orally)
The only difference(s) between these kits are
- Variation in bottle shape & size
- variation in dropper
NB The dropper can contaminate the test kit. a good test kit will never have so much test fluid that the dropper is IMMERSED in the reagent when the bottle is upright (and not all kits conform to this requirement)
The E2 kit from Chemical Generation is currently the ONLY 2nd generation kit.
while it can be used on its own, it works best alongside marquis reagent (E1)
It detects:
- MDMA
- MDA
** It differentiates between MDMA/MDA with a different colour reaction for each
- Amphetamine/Methamphetamine
- PMA
- Ketamine
- Strychnine (Rat Poison)
EZ-Test is soon to release their 2nd generation kit. The only information I currently have is that it is intended to differentiate MDMA from MDA from MDEA. I'm not certain what other substances it will detect. Product should be available in May.
That is the Complete rundown of all the kits I'm aware of

At last! I know more than a moderator!!!!! www.dopetest.com has the normal E tester (seems to be Marquis reagent) plus testers for cocaine and LSD/psilocybin. The problem with all these tests is that they test for the presence of the substance not the amount in the sample (altho' a higher quality normally gives a faster and stronger reaction). www.protest.force9.co.uk has the same tester kits plus a thin layer chromatography test kit. This is an interestering kit. It allows you to test for almost any chemical. The blurb at the site says that it contains testing details for "MDA , MDMA, Amphetamine, Methamphetamine , Ephedrine , Phenylethylamine ,Benzphetamine , Phendimetrazine Chlorophentermine , DMT , DET , Mescaline , PCP , LSD , Lysergamide , Psilocybin , Psilocine , Bufotenine" which should be enough for most people!

We have a TLC kit for sale too... we're just not offering it right now because it is significantly harder to get good results, and so we're looking for a way to make it better...
also Cocaine and other drugs will cause a colour change on Marquis reagent, but then again there are better reagents for testing other substances.. Marquis is really geared for amphetamines and opiates

If you'd checked the dopetest site before telling me I'm wrong you'd have seen that the cocaine tester they offer is not based around the Marquis reagent (well not unless they have decided to to add blue dye to the mix....) and the fact still remains that you didn't mention either of the site when giving "the Complete rundown of all the kits I'm aware of".
By the way: exactly what did I say in my posting that was factually incorrect? Or am I just wrong because I dared to disagree with you?

I must apologise... I misread your post to think that the tester (for cocaine) was the same as the one you mentioned as "(seems to be marquis reagent)"

thankyou... easy e.
i was reading the protest site re. TLC.
but these dont tell me how much of what either, or do they? the protest site doesnt say they do, but i thought that is was TLC was all about.
i have an old E1 and will upgrade soon.
i'm in aus so its looking like ez test is the way to go.
cheers.
^^^ thats ok, as im currently in australia, i no need order the stuff online and can easily pick up a tester at a local head shop. i was only looking there to compare whats available.
former question still relevant.
