Hey guys I need some light shed on this if any body could please. Short story for anyone that hasn't seen my other post a while back I have a feeding tube that I have to cruch my pain pills up and put them though, well the pharmacy that I get my pain meds from has changed one of there manufactures for one of my meds witch is Morphine sulf. 100mg er ok the org mrg. is mallinkrt witch are small and blue and the new ones are made by Mylan witch are blue and hugh now I know I not supposed to crush these pill up and all that but I have a way of doing it taking the coating off and splitting the pill up and doing that way, now I know this sounds dumd but should I still treat the Mylan the same way even though its so much bigger of a pill but same mg. Sorry if it seems like a commen sense qestion i just look down at these two and it dont seem like commen sense. any help thks.

I have experience with both brands.

There the same drug just different binders and fillers. I found the mylan easier to break up anyway.

If I'm cutting tablets, like certain benzos, into quarters, I hate crumbly, POS tablet manufacturers like Mylan. More than half of the damn diazepam tablet would explode in to a pile of crumbs in the pill cutter, which isn't exactly awesome when I was trying to taper and this was my last #20 count script, lol...

I just go to mom-n-pop pharmacies now, they avoid the cheap generic manufacturers who can't make solid fillers if their lives depended on it. If your goal is to smash (to rail?) tabs like TheDopeMan, then Mylan all the way.

If your using a feeding tube that you can't push entire tablets through call your doctor. You should not be splitting tablets to make them fit. They can/should have prescribed you liquid morphine solution (Oramorph).
