Difference between Otto Snow's Amphetamine Syntheses, Vol 1 (1998), and Vol 2 (2002)

Okay so recently I have been collecting these books as a novelty/hobby type thing. It has become very addictive to what one can learn and preserve by reading these types of books. I have Amphetamine Syntheses: Overview & Reference Guide for Professionals (Revised Industrial Edition) Vol. 2 , this one was published in 2002. Recently though I have stumbled across the 1998 publication called, Amphetamine Syntheses: Overview & Reference Guide for Professionals Vol. 1. I have tried every source available and was even considering calling Thoth Press to get an answer, but decided to come here instead for simplicity. I am dumbfounded and need some help right now. Thank you.
