Difference between LSD and Acid

I'm really not sure as to what the difference between acid and LSD is...

I know that Acid is tampered with, usually, and won't be as pure as the LSD you'd find back in the 60s and 70s, but I'm always left to wonder if it's pretty much the same thing...

I've been looking for LSD for a long time and I always end up falling upon Acid or Buvard and I don't want any fucken dirty chems going into my system.

But is Acid to LSD what Ecstacy is to MDMA? Is Acid really that bad? Are the effects similar?

acid is a slang term for LSD (lysergic acid diethylamide)
