Hi im about to get to try acid, ive already tried a vast quantity of other psychedelics (mesc, 2c's, various tryptamines) and was wondering what the qualitative differences were. whats the intensity of say 200ug, close to a 25mg 2c-e trip or a 600ug 25c trip? is it much deeper than shrooms? how much headfuck is there? enlighten me!

dont mean to sound rude, but for someone that claims to be this experienced with psychedelics, you sure ask questions that are more expected from a beginner. :P just that i was expecting you to have done a little more research :P for me it was hard in the beginning with the research because jsut about everything out there was compared to lsd.

too many variables to consider giving a streight answer. if you are experienced, expect to handle ~200ug ok. start low and see what effects it has on your own body/mind. i find lucy to be one of the prettiest chems out there.

Shrooms are deeper. Acid is more of a playground.

Haha... this just means you have never done enough for it to get serious. Believe me, at large doses LSD can get VERY intense and deep.

Its just that shrooms have those extra compounds in them in addition to psilocin which are probably what cause the "Ontological Panic Syndrom"... i.e., questions like "OMFG... have I actually DIED now or something?" to force themselves upon you. So it feels more "serious" at more moderate levels. But LSD can raise just as many questions in your mind about the nature of reality without causing all sorts of negative feelings, so its easier to actually think about them and expore them. If that's what was meant by "playground" then, true.

Yeah that is sooooo true! A lot of psychedelics out there have been compared to LSD, yet I never tried it to know what the fuck they were talking about.

Checkout the 'Beginner's FAQ thread.

Since almost all blotters and liquid hits are hyped to contain far more LSD than they actually do in µgs (with most people believing a standard 'hit' to be 100µg), 200µg of LSD will probably be a lot stronger than you think it is.

There's no real way to compare LSD to shrooms if you haven't done either. If you are familiar with the shroom space, some comments can be made. The 'vibrations' of LSD feel different, it seems more cut n dry analytical. Shrooms are a bit more 'flowy' in their approach, but their vibration is more organic and Earthy, and can feel somewhat abrasive and punishing to you if you're not letting go. LSD would be atoms and quantum electrodynamics, where shrooms would be plasma and waves. LSD is the cosmic space dust medicine where shrooms are the Gaian hyperdrive to the alien soul cleansers. This is all highly subjective, but I think users of both will know the differences like chocolate and cheese.

yeah in the Southwest I never got real LSD 25. I tripped many times on other LSD varieties I figured I had tried real 25 I moved to the pacific NW. Real 25 is so crazy and intense when taken in a high dose, plus every trip links with the previous trip it builds on itself so each time seems more intense. The first dose I took was two fifty mic hits this made the whole world vibrate and come to life but I had the clearest mind, each time I tripped after my trip started to become more intrinsic and more intense. at my highest dose which was ludicrous I saw my whole life go past my eyes from being born to my imagined death. I also had raindrops hit the window each individual raindrop turned my vision one notch closer to looking at myself until i was looking out of the window in at myself looking out of the window. LSD Is wild.

I've done acid several times and yeah man it can be a complete mind fuck. If you let it, it can get uncontrollable. The first time i did pretty clean acid man, when i started coming down, it felt like i had just fucking woken up or something. Visuals can be very intense, and if you let them scary even. They can also be very beautiful. For me when i do shrooms, the visuals seem more like wavy and not in any particular pattern. Acid can be unorganized too, but i feel like acid visuals are more organized like fractals and geometric shapes and shit. It's all about trying to control your head, emotions, and where your mind takes off to. For me it seems like any psychedelic experience can be anything, regardless of the substances. I'm not saying theyre all the same at all, but you can really feel every emotion very deeply on any substance. Ive done acid like 10 times, 2ci like twice, dmt like 6 times, and shrooms more than enough times to lose track. My last acid trip was a scary scary bad comedown. The first 4 hours were truly amazing though. But so far from what ive experienced i enjoy acid the least out of those 4 substances. The body high i get from it literally hurts sometimes it's so intense. As far as synthetic goes, i enjoyed a good 10mg dose of 2ci, it seemed much more chilled out. 20 mg of 2ci can fuck you up tho. But I definately dig the natural feeling chilled back body high of shrooms and dmt then the tense feeling i got in my muscles and skin from synthetics.

I personally think that LSD is far superior to all psychedelics that I've tried - it's only fault is that it lasts too fucking long. The reason is because something so powerful will become overbearing when it lasts so long, and the body inevitably becomes stressed... at least IME with the 3 times I've taken it.

I find it to be far more thorough than any psychedelic, and far more profound, and far less distracting due to relative-absence of physical side-effects (compared to other high-caliber psychs, eg. 2C-T-7 or AMT)... which is to be expected given how broad its pharmacological profile is compared to other serotonergic psychedelics.

If LSD lasted, say, 2-3 hrs, not only would it be my favourite psychedelic, but I would have taken it far more often as well. Till then, DPT remains king for me, and it is the closest to LSD of the ones I've tried.

Ergolines in general are fascinating, and I would rather have them as a third class of chemicals - they are technicall both Tryptamine and Amphetamine at once, structurally. I hope future research finds an LSD analogue that lasts shorter :). While we're at it, a Hydergine analoge that lasts longer would be appreciated too, hehe.

but yeah man 200 ug's (if the acid ive done is 100 ug a hit) can fuck you up pretty damn hard for a good long time. Its hard to compare acid quantitatively cause it's all about the quality of the shit. There have been times when ive taken 2 hits and gotten more fucked up than like an 8th of shrooms (if they can be compared like that). Then there have been times when ive had 3 hits, gotten pretty fucked up, but just not as high as times when ive taken 2 hits. It's all guesswork man, but as far as first time acid is concerned, id do 2 or 3 hits to get the "full" experience.

Dwayne, I have had an LSD dose which doesn't even make sense to consider it in terms of how many "hits" i took. I remember thinking FUCK that was a shitload of acid dude like whoa lol, and that was like 15 minutes after I took it. I was blacking out, I couldn't even see anything for most of the trip. Then when I could, everywhere I would try to focus it was completely distorted, 'kaleidoscope vision' doesn't begin to describe it. Beyond that I have eaten my share of blotter and haven't been anywhere near that high again, which is a good thing.

I don't have as much experience with mushrooms i'll admit.
My mushroom trips have been gripping. They take control of my ass. Its amazing. I don't know, its just different for me. Mushrooms are dreamier, more out of this world, and more messed up feeling. Really intense CEV too.

There is this sense of falseness which perpetuates the feelings I have while i'm on LSD, and i'm able to see it. Maybe mushrooms have a greater level of novelty left in the experience for me.

thanks tbf ive always thought the acid trip would be kind of electric and almost incandescent but just needed a bit more proof. it seems like the end of the road u know the final stage the ultimate trip (apart from dmt, another i havnt tried, but soon will), ive had dpt a few times but it never gave me that almost immersive feeling, the closest ive come to that is with shrooms and 2c-e, it only gave me patterning and a 'fucked up' feeling, however after 160mg insuffated i was VERY fucked up!!! usually on a trip the visuals seem so external and the feeling is always too bland im hoping to get sumwhere else with this, maybe im just getting bored with tripping.

I wouldn't say it's the "ultimate trip" or "the end of the road". That's just the mystique surrounding LSD that came from nostalgic hippies romanticizing about the mid 20th century psychedelic scene. It's no more "ultimate" than any other psychedelic.

Also, if you're getting bored with tripping you are doing it very wrong.

I swear this topic pops up every few weeks.

Acid: Analytical, colorful, insightful, tripping "out"

Mushies: Emotional, vivid, introspective, tripping "in"

Done.

i like waking up in the shower the third time in a row not knowing how i got there ! :P

also true that it isnt that "ultimate" and it can be considered just another substance, but i consider part of the myth and legend surrounding a substance to add flavor to the trip. for example, even if you could buy synthetic mushrooms (all the alkaloids syntehtic and mixed in the perfect ratio)in pill form, in my mind there will always be just that little bit more magic in the real natural thing. a little placebo, a backstory, can go a long way

Yes the 12 hour LSD experience can be a factor. I know people who don't like LSD because of the 12 hour trip, and they only take MDA or MDMA, smoke lots of pot, or just eat mushrooms instead.

Have you ever taken mushrooms Jamshyd?

I enjoy both LSD and mushrooms but IME they're two completely different drugs and the OP would be better off just taking both of them seperately and seeing what they're like for himself/herself.

I've never taken any RC's so I have no idea how those compare to LSD or mushrooms.

LSD has given me a almost maniacal feeling. I love it. Like once in a while when I take it, when I'm feeling goofy, I feel like a mad scientist. Like I'm learning so much, enjoying it, and laughing about it.

I find it has a perfect length for integrating what I experience, a natural bugger that forces me to set aside the proper time and reflection.
