Misc Diethylether

Every experience report I've read speaks to it's neurotoxicity and the awful headache it provides. Fear and loathing glorified it too much imo.

Also causes tachycardia and hypertension and other nasty archaic stuff.

I don't think it's exactly gabaergic in nature.

oh ok, i thought it was better also because it was used as medicine, but those were different times. chloroform is also nasty i believe.

Ether is alright. I've done it a few times and it's probably similar to nitrous in the feel. Never did nitrous tho.

It can give you a hangover, but so can alcohol. It's a pretty fun chemical. Easy to binge.

Don't do it around fire. and make sure you are in a well ventilated area.

Would not recommend chloroform at all. It's just halogenated methane and that can't be good.

nitrous is really dissociating ether seems more like a deliriant.

Idk about its neurotoxicity but I felt fear and loathing got it spot on. And it's never given me headaches. One thing I felt it does is it makes you hear background noise, like the humming from tube lights mixed with the shepherd tone (a tone that makes it sound like it keeps getting louder).

After you break through the noise and lines coming from the walls it gets quite a lot like the carnival casino in fear and loathing but like instead of fun house vibes you get the vibes of the room your in. For me in my bedroom it felt like I was on a river boat in deepest Africa.

And it is mildly similar to nitrous but like the vibe is different.

With ether you do get the sence that your dieing.

Beware of the smell. It is horrible and lingers for like 24 hours on your breath and maybe more generally body. The smell makes it a complete no-go for me, even though the effects of ether were pretty deranged and fun.

I did it once. Felt like a lackluster version of nitrous oxide. Maybe like a weaker nitrous mixed with poppers. I didn't have enough to feel any lasting side effects.

As for the aroma, i liked it. Nitrous oxide is tastier though. I think nitrous oxide is the best realistically obtainable inhalant drug. Xenon (the element) is supposedly even better, but stupid expensive.

Nitrous is by far the best inhalant as it is not toxic except if you deprive yourself of oxygen by not breathing properly, or abuse it which leads to B12 deficiency. Most other inhalants cause brain damage from even single uses... I think diethyl ether is actually safer than most, but doesn't compare to nitrous.

Nitrous has the added benefit of being INSANELY wild and cool on psychedelics. In fact that's the only time it's worth doing, IMO.
