Has anyone ever (due to drug abuse or whatever cause) experienced any of the following symptoms:
Loss of opioid effects, as in opioids producing markedly diminished (or completely nonexistent) effects
Loss of drug euphoria, as in rewarding drugs like speed, coke or benzos producing markedly diminished (or completely nonexistent) euphoria/pleasure
Pure consummatory anhedonia, as in pleasurable stimuli (sex, sugar, music etc.) not being pleasurable WITHOUT anticipatory anhedonia/emotional flatness ie with all emotions and motivation intact
Any of the above? More than one?
I'm asking this because me and a couple of my buddies have identified this weird, fascinating syndrome emerging from the abuse of GABA-B agonists like phenibut and GHB that bears the aforementioned signs/symptoms. It has also in my family emerged endogenously, which is really odd. I'm now trying to find out if it has been caused by other causes than GABA-B agonist abuse too. So if you could think about your history (especially in terms of drug post-acute withdrawal syndromes) and post here if you ever experienced any of those three symptoms, I'd be very glad! It would help a lot with trying to figure out the pathogenesis of this. At this point we believe the syndrome is GABA-B related but it's critically important that we can verify the validity of this belief. If other drugs like benzos for example have caused this too, it's really important that we know it.
Thanks!
E: To discuss the syndrome itself, feel free to post here: http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/threads/685503-GABA-B-agonist-abuse-and-the-changes-to-brain
